I love this piece, especially since this is one of my favorite films from childhood. I gave you 4.5 stars in vision for using the light and angle of the piece to set the mood. You did a wonderful job. I think that if you added just a bit more light into the contrast it'd be even more stunning.
I didn't give you 5 stars in originality because this is not your 'original theme/characters' but I do love it, and it is done in an original way. Thus the 3.5 stars.
Your technique is stellar, I really enjoy it. I like the semi watercolor feel. I do feel like perhaps a bit more blending in the cloak and skirt could provide a smoother, softer, fabric feel. However that is totally an artistic preference. The roses and petals are lovely, and effectively carry the eye throughout the piece. I think perhaps I'd have gone semi-oldschool and made them VERY red. (to provide an even deeper visual impact) But again this is personal idea and not a retraction on the overall enjoyment on the piece.
I like the visual feast you've laid out, and it certainly has inspired me to go and peruse your gallery.

Belle cannot allow to go in there if she might have seen his pink magical flower. That's easy enough, she should be punished in the most appropriate way ASAP!

In my opinion, the beast wouldn't have frighten her if she, being immature in her own way, hadn't entered the wing.

This is just a magical piece in capturing mood with minimalism and suggestion. Very sophisticated concept. Question: I am a zentangle artist, not professional; a hobbyist. I did a black and white marker zentangled version loosely based on this picture, borrowing the composition only. If I didn't sell it, could I use my zentangle version as part of a student exhibit at our art school? I would put "based on a painting by Chris Darril of Darril Arts next to it, giving you proper credit for expression of idea, etc. It is definitely not for sale. Please let me know if you would give me permission. I will respect your wishes regardless. Thanks so much. You are a wonderful thinker!
