All of us, even the greatest, the proudest, the strongest, the most intelligent or the most popular feel moments of doubt, fear or despair.In these moments, we all want to crawl back into our secret place, where no one will ever see us cry, hoping the pain will drop a little with the tears.
If we could, we would just meet the people we love and talk to them. But pride often gets in the way.
For those of you who are lucky enough to spend this blessed time of the year with their loved ones, cherish these moments, because life is short, and happy moments are those we remember the most.

Both are beautiful, the drawing and the words. For the drawing I can only say is very amazing how the flower-bed looks, as also how the eyes shows such sadness, on a somewhat innocent pose.
As for the words, I do believe the same; pride can make ourselves even more cloistered that we are, but to have flaws is part of the thinking beings nature.
Finally I give ya a thank for the wish you spend to everybody, as also wish the same to you, have a good beginning of the year with the ones you love, whenever these may be.

An extravagant piece.
The bright little orbs of light bring out the sparky character of Ruby Salvertine, considering how bright the colors are, makes this a unique artwork. The shading is lovely, as well as most of the anatomy.
But her facial expression, is it a smirk? A calming feature of hers?
I don't understand the emotion that is displayed in the piece,within her face, to be compared to the description that, I'm assuming, goes along with it?
Moving on..
Her pose, is a bit.. awkward to me. I attempted to try it, no lie. And my hand was aching, most likely from the feeling of being in a position not likely used to, but the position itself onto Ruby, maybe it's because she has a body that's wayy different from mine, but my opinion still stands.
The different colors outlining her body that has different places of light hitting it, in my opinion, was brilliant. It gives a better feeling to the entire picture, and gives the light, a brighter glow.
Overall, I'd give this a 4.5/5, the deducted .5 is just from a feeling that I get that there's something missing. But a very awesome piece. (: I hope that my attempt at a critique helps?

I know Ruby's position is a little awkward here, but not impossible XD If you want to try it by yourself, you have to sit on the floor while having both your elbows lying on surfaces slightly higher than the base of your neck. In this picture, Ruby was supposed to have her back against a bush full of flowers, with her elbows lying on branches. But as the making of the picture went on I decided to drop the branches and focus on the flowers.
About Ruby's expression, my goal was to make it ambiguous. It's up to anyone to guess how she feels, but the description does refer to it.
I agree with you on the fact there is something missing in this picture, but I can't figure out what... :/

..Hm. Not impossible? I'll try it sometime, when I'm not being lazy assed. o-o' ..Oh, it was a bush of flowers? I kinda thought it was a steep meadow of really pretty flowers. ._. But bush can work out in my mind.
And, I believe that you were right to go focus on the flowers, it supports all the glow within the piece, and lights. (: The branchs probably would've dimmed it a bit.

..In my point of view, and now that I think about it, maybe it's something about the background, such as.. er, a glowy full moon? To perhaps enlighten even more light on the assuming dark night, I suppose? I don't know. But the artwork was beautiful, and I salute you for your talent!

Really liking the contrasting colors between Ruby and the petals surrounding her. I also love how you really gave the the flowers that glowing luminosity of the white and sea foam green light.
If I really had one quip, (I don't really like going into depth through critiques 
Beyond this, its awesome work. The pose is very smartly organized on the page and the expression shows that very focused and trance-like lull of thought you explained above. Really nicely done!

You were right, thank you for pointing that out! I originally made Ruby's eyes and the blood super-red to make it stand out, but in the end I thought the contrast with the other colors was too strong so I tuned it down. But your comment made me realize I tuned it down too much. Now it's fixed (I hope)
