oh man! sweet!
i'm actually partway through doing the same picture myself - its interesting to see the differences! i think its because of the material though, i'm using just pencils....and mines not quite so dark in some places....awesome job!

Because of you, i finally finished mine - i did it all in pencil - i love seeing the differences people have in the way they interpret the same picture - what do YOU think?

awesome piece u did, its evident you spent alot of time on it thats probably the biggest difference between the two of ours, I only spent 2 hours rendering this one in charcoal and chalk. Lately I've been doing alot of charcoal renderings because I have to practice rendering pieces out quickly and trying to be as accurate as I can. I use to spend 6-18 hours when I was doing fully shaded pencile drawings, it was just outta control and I wasn't creating enough pieces.

All the charcoal pieces i've done I've rendered in my sketch book, the texture is because the excessive amount of chalk the I lay down in my second layer as I blurr the basic shadows
