Description
This is the natural look of a Baku.
The general shape is that of the tapir, with striped fur similar to that of tigers. The claws of its paws are retractable. Those protruding from its mouth are not canines but tusks similar to those of an elephant, albeit shorter, as well as the proboscis. The tail is similar to that of a lion.
We could say that the Baku, presenting physical characteristics similar to those of other animals, is a chimera.

In the background we can see the Dreamworld and the Dream Orbs. Each sphere corresponds to a dream and a dreamer.
Dg showed to his friend Chris his natural appearance and explained how he distinguishes between dreams based on their external colour.
For example, a strange dream with abstract, funny or absurd elements for him has a blue color. From within the dream the color of the same is no longer visible.

A special feature: what floats behind the Baku is not a mane but a flame.
In fact, the Baku take their energy mainly from their inner flame, the same one that allows them to change shape, appearance and allows them to know everything about the Dreamworld.
Thanks to their inner flame, the Baku can live a very long time without eating energy from dreams or nightmares. In fact, it is said that the Baku can live for millennia.
Since the Baku usually feed on the dream energy of dreamers without giving anything in return, we could say that they are parasites. Perhaps for this reason there are entities in the Dreamworld who do not like their presence. The Baku are aware of this and tend to hide and escape from those entities.
The inner flame can be extinguished if the Baku, in addition to the energy of dreams, also starts to devour the hopes of dreamers, becoming harmful to them.
The entities of the Dreamworld cannot distinguish between normal and harmful Baku, which is why when they manage to catch one they extinguish its flame.

With no more inner flame the Baku instantly loses its natural appearance and abilities and falls into the Deep Dreamworld as Hollow Baku.
