Newborn Minty Leaf.A newborn baby bright changeling is called hatchling. In the 'drawings' on the shell of the egg are (usually) the main colors of the parents.
Baby bright changelings are monochromatic until puberty.
The color variations on the coat that can be seen in adults, as well as the 'jewels' on the neck, are an indication of sexual maturity.
Bright changelings acquire elytra and wings within the cocoon during the transition from hatchling to juvenile.
