Description
Painting for my God son Felix, visiting from Paris, France. He specifically asked for the content. I guess he must see it as the turning point for Anakin. Or maybe he is just seven.Happy New Year!

When this popped up in my messages I already knew I was going to add it into my favorites, but once I saw it fully I knew I had to say something. I love how you have Anakin stacked. Knight Anakin over shadowing his sins as a Padawan, and I really love the that the backdrop of Tatooine flows into his cloak. I love the color choices with Vader in the red and the Mustifarian color pallet and how soft the blacks and blues look with Anakin. I don't know if you did it on purpose, but the glow in the clouds makes me think of the good that is still in him.
I really really love the scratchy lines, especially the lines bursting on his shoulders from the lightest part in the sky.

Well-
As a parent I know its important that you let your kids know how HARD it is to make a living as an artist- TRUE-
But, as a side car to your career it will always give you happiness- So its not all or nothing-
Having a good career is a GOOD thing too-
And a true artist can't choose art- art must be,
Even if you went to MED SCHOOL, you would still make the time to do art-
So
I don't always recommend art school-
The reality of life is find a niche that the world needs, and then finding something creating to do in that-
Art school sends you on a very particular course, I had fun, but ended up re-educating myself.
Tough call, so don't be too hard on the parents.
Art will find its way.

Yep I am an aspiring artist, and have worked as a game artist- but
Not as a professional illustrator, not even once.
I do it from and out of pure joy and it makes a dramatic difference to my life personally,
What I really do is MUSIC-
that is my true talent.

I have written 10 albums, so Art gives me a break from all the SOCIAL involvement that music requires.
I do hope to get some of my comic work published in time.
Oh also, I am 43, a father and husband, I stress the importance of the arts to anyone I come in contact with- and
that ART itself is divine, and it is a LONG game. I was lucky enough to be classically trained in drawing and oil painting long before I have access to computer tech,
so education is very important to me to this day I continue my studies even on this site.
I do appreciate your comments, they really help me to continue my ongoing studies in art.

To your point, is he not the most annoying character ever? I think so, save JarJar - I know all the reasons, bring a new generation in on it and yada yada, but c'mon.
Could have made him cooler. Could have, did not.
With my Godson and his commission, I was like: What about Boba Fet? Obi-1?
Nope=anakin. So maybe Lucas was right on the mark. Hard to say.

Dude, he IS the most annoyingly stupid character in the whole series. I don't really have any hate for the prequels, because i grew up with them, but i've never liked Anakin (and i could never forgive him for slaughtering the Jedi). I'm an Obi-Wan fan myself. Haha
Also i think the reason why a lot of kids (including your godson) love Anakin these days is because of The Star Wars: Clone Wars animated series. I've seen it and Anakin is pretty cool in it.

But I will let you in on my secret, talent is available to anyone who puts the time in on it, the talent will follow. Deviant art is filled with work that inspires me on a daily basis, and when we feel inspired it make the work easier to do.
