She had firmly believed at one point that the decision would be simple; she would always raise her finger towards that blue-furred hedgehog with the bright emerald eyes and the cocky grin regardless of how gentle, kind or downright good-looking any other man could be. Sonic, in her young mind, would always have been the one for her.

And yet... why did her mind constantly drift to that young, naive, strong-minded silver hedgehog she had not long ago met, if she loved Sonic as much as she truly believed she did?

He was not a patch on Sonic in the slightest. He looked like him, but could never bear those lovely emerald eyes; instead he bore eyes of sunshine and purity. He did not have the glimmering sapphire fur Sonic wore day in, day out; instead he bore a silver fur coat, showing the scars of the future from which he came. He did not bear any signs of the speed Sonic was well known for; instead he could move things with his mind. He was not cocky in the slightest; instead he bore a sweet, naive and kind personality, not that Sonic didn't have one himself.

Yet despite that, Amy could not help but think of him, his sweet, almost gentleman-like nature and how he would never for one second turn his back on her.

Sonic was cocky, adventurous and would give Amy the things she truly desired out of life, yet Silver made her feel better than anybody else in the world.

There was no possible way she could choose. Looking to the sky, wiping a few tears from her eyes, Amy whispered sadly, "Why can't I choose the both of them?"

No. That would be selfish of her. It was then that she realized just how harsh the world of love could be...

Little ficlet there, here's hoping you enjoyed, though I only wrote it quickly so it's not great. Better than the picture though, maybe using the smudge tool on Sonic and Silver wasn't such a good idea...

Anyway, the idea of this came from when I was watching some AMVs on Youtube, and one song in particular was used; "So in love with two", and it gave me the idea for this picture, even though IMO it probably suits Rouge more since she might actually like both Knuckles and Shadow, but meh.

Canonly, I think Amy's only ever going to fawn after Sonic and want him, but fanonly, I got an idea upon remembering next-gen's ending, when Elise kissed Sonic. Amy didn't seem to mind Elise kissing Sonic, and held nothing against her, because she knew she was saving Sonic's life. Of course, maybe Amy probably was aware of Elise liking Sonic... regardless, she probably could still like Sonic, though since she did hang around with Silver for a tiny bit in this game and they did have some rather sweet interaction, I considered maybe she may end up liking him as well. So poor Amy is torn about which one she loves more.

I don't care who she chooses. I'm leaving that up to others. I'm personally all for both SonicxAmy AND SilverxAmy so... chyeah. Though don't go around bashing one or the other kthnxbai. I don't want to see two shipping fandoms I belong in ranting about how the other sucks, m'kay?
