Perhaps. I was using a rendering engine specific post effect, I think it can be done in After Effects using plugins, which ones, I'm not sure off the top of my head.

Actually, the very first Trek episode I saw was VOY: Lineage. It's the cream of the crop when it comes to VOY, and it made me an instant Trekkie. But after watching TOS... you know what I mean

I don't remember the first episode of Voyager I saw, but I was a Trekkie before then though.
I've seen Lineage, that's where Torres is upset about her babies Klingon like cranium...
Also, do you know where I can find that Intrepid model, by Dan Crout, you used in one of your pictures, I believe.

It was on Star Trek Australia, ages ago. It comes in two versions, one with nacelles down, and one with nacelles up. Given that all STA mirrors are down, I do not know where you can DL it. But I have the model and I can send it to you.
But if I were you, I'd use Sarod's excellent model, coming with landing legs and a detailed shuttlebay and stuff like that. Or, more better, Flat Eric's beauty.

Yea, I've been piddling with Sarod's and FA's, but Sarod's Max conversion version has some noticeable issues from it's conversion from LW, and FA's has some texture issues...

Try out Flat Eric's one. It's on Trekmeshes. The nacelles are animated on that one, it's a thing of beauty.
