hello every one!!!i think its fair for me to post SOMETHING on DA...
i did some random doodles last night...
in it was of course this!
this is my version of a human tikal the echidna
to me she has african/ mayan influence. i based her face off of someone who is more african than mayan tho. =/
and she is light skin. i always though tikal was light skinned instead of white or east asian.

I know already commented on this picture before, but your version is the most accurate humanized Tikal. The entire Echidna tribe in the games have a Mayan influence. The Sonic Team itself went to Guatemala for their inspiration for this character.
The other versions are very nice, but they're not accurate.

to be fair id have to say mine really isnt accurate aswell. i thought she had more African influence...then the rest. but i felt she was more mixed anyway but definitely not white or Asian.

I think you underestimate yourself. The Sonic Team had even went to Guatemala for inspiration on this character. I rather think you hit nailed her appearance as a human.
But yes, most humanizations of Tikal are that of whites mostly, rarely have I seen Tikal as an Asian though. I think they try to match her red quills to her skin.

I'm so glad that someone else thinks of drawing human versions of characters as something other than White or Asian, especially with those characters of Latin/ African influence in their designs. I really loved this!
