I just recently watched Jurassic World with a friend, and got inspired to draw this little sketch of me with my favorite pterasaur! The freaking Quetzalcoatlus! I've always thought these gigantic giraffe sized beasts were awesome, and Jurassic World gave me an excuse

Yes, I wanted one of those to be in the movie, it would have wrecked so much shit. 10 and half meter wingspan, taller than the tallest giraffe, probably capable of carrying a human. The closest thing we've ever had to a dragon. And it flew on the tip of its pinky finger.

Skybax, like the Skybax Corp from Dinotopia. X3 Have you ever read Dinotopia? It's amazing. He made up the sub-species Quetzalcoatlus Skybaxi for the books, they're a little bigger and tameable. I wanted to be a Skybax rider when I was a kid. I still kinda do.

The miniseries right! That won an award I think, an emmy in visual effects or something. I have it on DVD now for obvious reasons.
The books are totally sweet, the art in them is amazing, you should totally see about investing in them. I have a hardcover set myself but they also come in paperback. There's 3 that follow the story of Arthur Dennison, in the late 19th century and then one that I don't have but is about a young human in Dinotopia taming the first Skybax. Since it was a departure from the Dennison story I didn't buy it originally but I probably will eventually.
I had the first book as a kid, and I fell in love with the art, I think I have to credit it with inspiring my current career choice.
