Yes, E-SWAT is a great game! One of my favorite games for the console Megradrive.Sempre was waiting for an updated version of it for the next generation of consoles, but it seems that is not in the plans of the Sega.

A new E-SWAT would kick major ass! But they'd probably needlessly make it ridiculously bloody and ultra violent like certain other remakes of older games just to make it more hip to this generation. Either way I'd still play it just because.

I agree with everything you have said, if SEGA really did a remake of E-Swat. It could be like the remakes of Gohls'nglblins just changed the language for 3D game, but as was done with the new Castlevania. Not to say that a new e-swat should be like GOW, I think this is not the idea, just think to do a remake of this classic it should be well planned.
