Friday October 21st, 2011 Disneyland, California for the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party.Kara as my Esmeralda and me as Frollo, we're both in the Sleeping Beauty Castle walk-thru. From the back is where people really went nuts with our costumes. We even were asked if we were the real meet and greet characters. I find it funny tho since I'm so short, I barely reach the real Frollo's shoulder, but hey, the compliment is still pretty darn awesome!
Credit also goes to my amazing friend who made my Frollo hat for me back in 2011. I made my own Frollo costume.

Oh, hey, I know you, you also had a Frollo hat made by Merriam too, how cool! Aw, thank you about my cosplay, it's a lot of fun. I had bought a black robe, it was actually a Halloween costume of some dark priest. It had purple trim already on the sleeves, I just added purple trim to the bottom hem. I then bought two black foam vizors at a craft store and sewed on red ribbon stripes for his shoulder armor piece. For the chest piece I got the pattern for a table cloth, lol! It's what it somewhat reminds me of. Sewed on purple cloth in the middle. I wore a white sleeveless turtleneck shirt so it looked like his collar. I also bought purple arm sleeves off ebay.
For this year I've been trying to make some small tweaks to the costume. I want to get a detachable collar to sit on the top of the turtleneck. I also really want to find rings too.

Here's hoping you can come out for a visit during Halloween season, that will be so awesome! Other Frollo fans are planning to come out for a gathering. Hehe, it'll be so much fun to have a fan gathering in the park, the cast members will be so amused by us.

What did you think of Corey Burton's voice for Frollo on the new KH game? I posted a new journal up at Frollo Society with English videos of the HoND world. For me I think he did rather well, even tho I could hear a little more of Yen Sid, Shere Khan and even some of Christopher Lee all mixed in there. It's impossible to fully replace Tony Jay's voice, his was so unique, but it still was fun to watch. Seeing the HoND world in 3D is amazing! Props to both Disney and Square Enix for bringing it to life like that!

It really is amazing huh, I absolutely love it! I sat and watched all those KH videos and just fell in love at how beautifully done it was. I even thanked the youtube video owner. He was so happy to hear how much everyone enjoyed it.

Oh, I know! We'd look at the ones of us from the back and just flip! No wonder people approached us, haha! Yeah, that whole castle walk-thru was a lot of fun for the cosplay.
Hehe, that Esmeralda tote is amazing, I'm glad she decided to go for it on ebay and won. Little girls were eying it closely. I told Kara to hold tightly to it or it may just grow a pair of legs, lol!

Ha ha ha! I have yet to see Honest John and Foul Fellow at the parks, but they were two of my favorite "non-threatening" Disney villains growing up. Gotta' love the Pinocchio story.
