I like! This is a really great image of Crawford, and especially fitting when you consider his personality, his status, and his special ability.

A wonderful job indeed!

nice watercolouring, particularly like the shadings/highlights....just watch the anatomy a bit, his head and shoulders look a little too wide for their height

hehehe...Weiss Kreuz

Yes I know Weiss Kreuz *blush* don't laugh....... Well it was an old obsession of mine.

I am practicing on the proportion part, so any help would be apriciated, the only thing I know is that each of the shoulders should be one head width wide. I really messed up the right shoulder, it ended up too high. ( The brown jacket is not part of the shoulder) I tried to conceal most of the mistakes with the black frame and some extra shading on the right side.

hmmm well here were some tips that gave me on one of my pics on anatomy
Note: some of the comments are directed at my work and i couldn't be bothered to edit them out so don't mind them

"The anatomy needs work. Either you have to make the head much smaller (the eyes are at the middle of the head) or you have the make the body much bigger. Either way, as you have it now, the body's at five 1/2 heads long. Chibis are at two to three, and average people are at 7 1/2. Change the body accordingly...The shoulder should be moved up, aligned to her neck. It wouldn't be a bad picture if you corrected her current head and neck. If you forgot about the current head and neck, the anatomy would be correct.

I think you should practice figure drawing, where you draw their basic skeleton and body. Before you add the clothes. You should use a fashion magazine (Vogue, Elle, etc) and try to draw the models and remember their poses so you can use it in your own work. The most important thing is practice. For me it took a year to get comfortable with standing poses (yeah, okay, my current deviation sucks anatomy-wise majourly, where I messed up on trying to make a "chibi" and made it 5 1/2 heads long.)"

The fashion magazine was a good tip, I'll try that. I have printed out some stuff on proportions from the internet, I usually try to follow them, but I still can't get their poses right. I'll practice more on figure drawing.

Thanks for the tip

You shouldn't worry so much with anatomy. I mean look at CLAMP.

I love your watercolouring btw. I could never watercolour if my brain forced me to.
