Thanks..but what gives? This has been here for ages and then I get a ton of comments out of the blue. Not really asking you specifically, but I'm wondering why this particular piece is getting so much attention all of a sudden hehe.

Not sure why you think this is a copy. This piece is Chris' original line work.

This is his original linework. But that doesn't mean that it's original. Go look at the cover of the Wyld sourcebook for Exalted. It's exactly the same.

I have to say one more thing. I'm AMAZED that you can't see that Chris does actual artwork for the Exalted RPG sourcebooks.

He has an entire section of his gallery dedicated to official Exalted art AND the description of THIS PIECE clearly states what it was used for and has the White Wolf copyright info right there on it.

I'm amazed that you think this is a copy and didn't even look around.

I apologize. I clearly saw the copywrite for White Wolf, and seeing that the White Wolf books are colored, I made the mistake of thinking that he was giving them credit for the source image.

Good lesson for everyone. BEFORE accusing people always check around, just in case someone else is also clueless, and thinks that you know what you are talking about, and the whole thing hurts a person of integrity.

Um.... Chris IS the artist who drew THAT line art which was coloured for the Exalted Wyld cover. This is the real line art which was used for that cover. It's his original work and he was paid by White Wolf to draw it.

White Wolf hired the UDON studio to do the Wyld cover and I in turn assigned Chris to draw it up. Another artist at the studio named Mark Sinclair painted Chris' line art for that cover.

You're good enough to draw your own stuff rather than having to copy it from exalted sourcebooks. You should be doing your own thing, rather than doing essentially practice exercises.

I'm afraid I still don't understand. If you mean using Exalted characters, well..that's what I'm paid to do. If you mean copying someone else's work, than you're mistaken. This is my work. I've been an Exalted artist almost since the beginning of the game. Since The Book of Three Circles back in 2001. Maybe I'm just misunderstanding you heh.

Sorry. I was thrown off because the book is colored but this is just line work. I thought that the copywright information was just so they couldn't sue them.
