Your stuff is so inspirational. (... a little frustrating how good I think it is...)Every time I think I might be getting a little better, I run across work like yours, that really brings me back down a notch.

No tuts at the moment. I might have one in a future issue of Sketch Magazine, but I have no idea when. I might post the same tut up here once the issue comes out. Really? My work makes me want to quit hehe. Isn't that always the way for artists.

my teacher does not have a DA account that I know of. I just checked that name ahem not him.
when it comes to art that is true everyone has to look up to someone, even Frank Frazetta looked up to somebody. so just know that your work is so good that I had a question about markers and my teacher told me to ref. your illustrations, if that's not saying your work is great than I don't know what is.
ps hurry on that sketch magazine I want to learn.

Hehe, that is a nice compliment. Thank you. As an artist we're never good enough. It feels hopeless at times, but if we didn't agonize over the work and obsess over improving, we never would. Sucks, but it's a hell of a motivator.

I have been loving your work ever sence my prof. showed it to me. I'm color blind and your work makes my eyes feel goooood! I have got to know your tricks with markers. prisma, or copic, and how?

Thanks, man. As much as I stink with colors, I might as well be color blind myself. I can read values so much better than hues. Not much in the way of secrets. Mostly just putting a lot of time in to learn their characteristics. Strengths and weaknesses. The best way to do that is to just spend a lot of frustrating time with them hehe.

Hehe, yeah Sal's one of the greats. My Hulk (not surprisingly) is more inspired by Kirby, but Sal's Hulk is the one that I and most folks remember most.
