It was obvious that she loved him before she died. She loved him unconditionally even after everything he'd done. She even believed there was still good in him (I wonder if she could somehow sense that Sidious was basically controlling him or something.) Luke took after her in that way.

Love conquers all. I think she still would love him, even after all he's done.
Plus, Palpatine lied when he told Vader that he killed Padme. She died of a broken heart, not by him choking her.
