In Bali`s mythology, Leak is a bad witch. ‘Le’ means witch and ‘ak;’ means bad. Leak can be seen only at night by the leak`s hunter as at noon, leak looks like a human. Leak looks for human`s organs (if it`s needed, Leak will take organs from alive human) which is used to make concoction. This concoction can change Leak to be a tiger, monkey, pig or any other animals. It`s also told that Leak is like a human`s head along with organs hang on it. Leak is able to fly to look for pregnant woman to suck the baby`s blood. There are 3 famous leaks, 2 women and 1 man. Bali`s people believe that Leak is a human who practices black magic dan she needs embrio`s blood to keep alive. It`s also said that Leak can change itself to a pig or fire ball, meanwhile the real shape of leak has a very long tounge and sharp tooth. Several people say that the magic of Leak only works in Bali. That`s why Leak is only found in Bali. If someone pricks Leak`s neck from down to head when it`s separated with its body, then Leak cant be join again with its body. If the head is separated for sometime, then it can cause the death for Leak.
Leak`s mask is often used as a ornament for house.
