I decided to do something a bit different than my usual glamour shoot. Alissa and I wanted to meet up for another shoot. The problem was; neither of us were able to travel the full 7-8 hours it would take to meet. Our solution was to meet somewhere in the middle.

Not sure where or what the town we choose would look like, it was tough coming up with a concept at first. I wanted to rent a cheap hotel room to use as a staging area but I wasn't sure where to go for a final location. It occurred to me sometime later that we could use a really seedy motel as our actual set.

I retouched this set much looser than usual; instead of my normal polished look I pushed a bit of the grit and grime. This, coupled with the fact that 8 hours of shooting wore Alissa out, lends well to the alone and desperate feel I was going for. I wanted to create a set of images told a loose story and encouraged the viewer to fill in the particulars.

And if you were wondering, the whole town of Perry, Florida stinks. Literally; it smells really bad.
