Right, because wasn't Zoel the perfect outcome of an experiment where Murk was the complete opposite (though I wouldn't outrightly say "failure")? So I imagine it's just a adversarial relationship based on jealousy. Might it get better for both of them in the future?

Shoot. I look forward to seeing how it begins. I have all these endless story ideas in my head, and I'm frankly kind of ashamed that I haven't been drawing comics of my characters for the last 7 years like VanHeist or Yuumei... it's going to happen eventually. Maybe it's good that I didn't start drawing them years ago, because it's only recently that I really figured out who these characters are... when i was drawing Zoel and Murk back in 2009, I didn't really have their back stories worked out -- I was just drawing characters that looked neat. I almost feel like I've been gypping my audience this entire time. We shall see, one day I might actually get my shit together and achieve something.
Right now, my tentative goal is to spend the rest of this year doing landscapes and other portfolio pieces... and on January 1st, 2016, to begin drawing actual, sequential comics.
Wish me luck, because I've made promises like this before and not kept them.
