Thank you! I tried modeling my dino after recent scientific discoveries regarding their appearance. I find it fascinating that many of them resembled birds more than reptiles. I love imagining Earth full of ferocious feathered creatures

Dinosaurs, it seems to me, exist in a curious place between reality and fantasy. We don't *really* know what they looked like, yet our reconstructions of them seem pretty assured and self-congratulatory. Your image reminds us that there are some things that we can't be 100% certain about -- and that in this place of not-knowing the imagination can flourish

I'm such a dinosaur fiend these days You're quite right about our self-assured (yet dubious) understanding of them. They were such a huge presence, but we know so little about them beyond their skeletal framework. Recent scientific evidence suggests that many of them had iridescent feathers. They probably couldn't "roar," nor could the t-rex run very fast. Pop-culture has constructed such a ferocious & fanciful portrait of these creatures. Trying to escape misconceptions is a challenging imaginative exercise! I'm happy that you caught on
