Uhh... What? I find it silly that you call me a coward, when you have no idea who I am as a person. I absolutely admire anthro art, if it's good. This work is good, goodness, it's great, so I complimented on it. To further this, I've drawn a few anthro characters that I consider decent.
Being a character designer means I have to be flexible in the type of characters I draw, thus, I am always thankful to the many characters my practice has given me the ability to create. I take this philosophy of mine to heart.
I'm not insecure of what people think of me, I couldn't care less, but have you seen how often and how brutally furries are shunned on the net, in real life, and by society in general? Just about anyone knows the Internet is a minefield, where people like me have to play it safe; one mistake can cost an individual so much.
This world is a horrendous pile of garbage, where anyone who even says a thing about furries, my little pony, anime, etc., are caught in a violent torrent of hatred and isolation. I would know, because I've been caught in this because people wouldn't shut their stupid mouths.
I might not be a furry, yet I've had friends in real life, who I had to help through awful times because nobody respected their styles. I still have much respect and understanding for the community... Because a few years ago, I was a brony, and a few close friends because of that. I'm not ashamed to admit that. Heck, I still keep my old drawings of some darn awesome MLP-related fan art and characters in a folder somewhere, to remind me of those fun times.
Of course, that's all in the past, but I still look back at those memories with happiness.

You don't know me, and I don't know you. If you think anyone's a coward because they want to mention that they are not this or that, you are sorely mistaken.
I'm sincere in these words I write, and will never back down or apologize to those who try to bring me down.
I'm not here to burn bridges that haven't even been made. Don't do the same.

Oh, sure. No. By that logic, I can disregard everything you say as idiotic, just because 'lol, why not?'
There are people like me who can't help but take everything seriously. Sure, that one reply was a bit long (and most of it was unneeded), but I thought it would've helped you to understand why I said what I said on the original comment.
I'm a very wordy person, who can't just make a short sentence to explain away my thoughts. Heck, I'm doing this exact thing now.
Also, I'm a pretty calm guy. I just like writing a lot. Please, don't make assumptions; that leads to nothing good.
My question is: why did you lash out at me in the first place? Barring my reply, what you said was unnecessary, and wasted both our times.

Before I go, I want to make it clear that I respect and understand the furry/anthro community, despite the misunderstandings we've had. Nothing I said was meant to harm, nor will I say anything to commit such.

I wasn't "lashing out", I felt tired of people saying, "Oh, I like this art, but I'm not a furry!" like being a furry is a bad thing. Like admiring anthro art will put you on some bad list.

Oh, I don't think being a furry is a bad thing at all. To further this, I used to be a brony few years back. (not to an extreme, but I loved watching mlp:fim)
I've also experimented with anthro art a few times. It's fun, and I liked my works. I could post them on my gallery later, if you're interested

So, yeah. I'm good now. No hard feelings?
