Description So here is the full card in all it's time consuming and hand-numbing glory....

There's also a decent (ok, it's a much clearer picture than mine, but mine's bigger ) picture over on the Funimation site. [link]

Very carefully?

But seriously...are you wondering about the pattern or the construction/materials, or something like that? Just want to clarify before rambling on about the wrong thing. ^^

Okay, I'm a sewing and knitting nerd. I want to know about the materials and the pattern. *stares at it* ...I could do so many things if I knew how to do this...

Well I posted the pattern and thread key in the main Hetalia comm and here's the link: [link]

The pattern I made myself by cleaning up one of Himaruya's doodles in Photoshop and reducing the number of colors in the original picture as much as possible. After cleaning up the picture, I run it through the cross stitch pattern software I have and then clean it up more until you basically get what's in the pattern posted on LJ. As for the material, it was just basic DMC thread you can get at any craft store, but the fabric was 32 count evenweave that I had to buy at a cross stitch store (for the most part craft stores really only carry Aida and usually only 14 count which is terrible D

If you have anymore questions, just let me know!

If you don't mind me asking, what software do you use? (:

I use a really old copy of Stoik Stitch Creator. It's pretty basic compared to more of the software out there, but it gets the job done.

Didn't you win a prize from the contest with this?

chujo-hime In reply to SleepyKirby [2011-03-12 23:54:14 +0000 UTC]

I did. I won the first season and a poster signed by the American VAs.

But it was hard giving away the finished cross stitch...I still have to stitch one for myself XD
