Later this weekend I may do a Journal entry where I compare Light Yagami (the main character of Deathnote), Dexter (the 'good' serial killer from the Showtime show of the same name), Batman, and the Punisher ^_^

I've only seen the Anime. Although I hated the main character (light), I pretty much liked the series as a whole.
Which is strange because the type of anime I usually like is Giant Fighting Robots style

Looks much better than Rem which is a female shinigami of Death Note.

I was never sure if Rem was ment to be female or not.
In the english dubbed version, she/it had a female voice, but otherwise there was no indication of gender (whereas it was more or less obvious that Ryuk was a male).

In the comic books Rem is female. I have never seen the anime version.
