Vegeta is appalled by Goku's bedroom. It's nothing like he imagined it would be. XDI'm tempted to do another version of this showing what the bedroom would look like if Vegeta got to give it a makeover.
The background-bug bit me again. >_>
This is the first time I've used a fictional place as my reference image. It's...different.
Photo used for reference is from the DB televikko footage that goes to "Atsumare! Goku World."
That's the special where everyone goes on a mini-tour of time with Trunks and where Goku almost destroys the time-space continuum by wandering over to converse with his child self.

I was surprised at how Goku's room looked when I first saw it too. A little earlier than before when I used this reference image, there's a shot from the doorway and Goku's room is actually quite large. Large, but empty.

Me too! When I first saw it I was shocked by how empty Goku's room was.
One of those drawers in the bureau next to the bed is probably full of candy. >_> He can't own that many clothes.

I've not heard of this special.
Anyway, all the furniture and stuff looks great! I'm so bad at straight lines and symmetry, so I tend to avoid it at all costs. (Of course, if I were smart, I'd try to tackle it more often, to get better, but...)

What's fun about the time travel in this special, is that instead of running on DB time travel rules, it runs on Back to the Future rules where if you mess with the past, it messes with the future. Which is why Goku deciding to go interact with his younger self causes Trunks to tackle him into the ground. XD
Lucky for them, child Goku is child Goku and doesn't recognize his adult self.
Thank you! I like sketching furniture and rooms, but my big downfall is folds (like a crumbled up blanket, or baggy clothing) I really want to work on getting better at that.

That's funny; it'd be so Goku to not recognize his older self despite the extremely distinctive hairstyle.
Folds are really tough, to be sure. They're one of my major weak points, too. I can never draw baggy clothes. *_*

It was a fun special; it kept walking this tight-rope where I was wondering "Isn't it dangerous to time-travel out in the open that way? What would happen if someone saw them? Gohan witnessing Piccolo Daimao in action is surprising" and thinking that the special reminded me a lot of a DB version of Dora the Explorer because of all the audience interactions.
Aw, it's ok; I kept getting pulled away from working on the story while writing it. :3
