Description
The Chinese Warlord Era was the period in the history of the Republic of China, from 1916 to 1928, when the country was divided among military cliques, a division that continued until the fall of the Nationalist government. The Qing Dynasty did not have a national army but utilized regional armies and militias which lacked standardization or consistency. Officers were loyal to their superiors and formed cliques based upon geography and shared academy experiences. Units were composed of men from the same province. This policy was meant to reduce dialectal miscommunication but encouraged regionalist tendencies.The uniform is based on what the warlord and main character Hou Jie wore in the film Shaolin, but it should be pretty typical for that time in China. I thought it looked really cool

I just watched the film and it was a really incredible and emotional film. Full of history and martial arts action!
