The enigmatic spiritual leader of the "Haven's Touch" group, Charles Cognac, has been making recent headlines. Although more former members are coming forward to speak to law enforcement and news agencies about the practices of Haven's Touch, Cognac's ability to secure new members and assets, specifically real estate, remain inexorable. Authorities seem to be helpless to pursue action as many investigators have been rumored to become members of Haven's Touch, stifling any progress being made about the numerous reports of human rights violations, trafficking and money laundering. "You must be very careful when dealing with The Master", warned former member Anita Calhoun. "You cannot touch him. He is a very persuasive man... a commanding presence, but once you feel him, you are his. You will do anything to touch him again. I need to touch him, I need his touch" Ms. Calhoun revealed that she had been removed from the Central California Haven's Touch compound due to insubordination and had been barred from contact with Congnac. She was found dead of a self inflicted wound 3 days after this interview. Her story has been corroborated with many former members. As Haven's Touch centers pop up in more cities across the country and impose their influence on communities, locals are left scratching their heads and looking to authorities to intervene. Haven's Touch spokesperson, Mitch Prange, declined a formal interview but did make a general statement which is as follows: "Many folks are attempting to smear the good name of a great man who is doing great things because they're afraid of our free lifestyle. There is no one at any Haven's Touch facility who is held against their will, it's against our way of life. We encourage anyone, and we mean anyone, to come check out any of our facilities. We recommend waiting until The Master is in town and you can shake the hand of a true visionary"

The "powers" in the universe are subtle so I thought of a villain who wasn't so much a physical threat as The Beast, or a mastermind like Mr. Glass. I thought of a character who would be able to control others so the physical and intellectual threats would be from those who are enslaved. There is not much special about my character except that physical contact with him is bliss, highly addictive, and those who have touched him will do whatever it takes to touch him again. Through this, he can influence anyone he touches to fulfill his every desire.
