I'm curious how you edited this. It looks like a really long exposure, but the chopper is crisp.Β

I have to hold my hand up and this one was took using auto on the camera with out flash ( ofc )Β
i never use auto but the light, colour and weather was so messed up due to the insane storm we had..
and as i was in a rush to get down and see the floods we had i didnt want to waste time.Β
as you can see in the shot details it was far from a long exposure.Β
Shutter Speed1/60 second
ApertureF/3.5
Focal Length18 mm
ISO Speed560
the effects in the image were all in PS CS6 and Nik collection plugins for CS6.Β
the soft focus / image diffiusion gives the very smoothed feel to things..
i masked off certain areas while doing this to keep certain elements crisp
when taking it i didnt even notice the chopper, although i could hear it.Β
i was taking the image of the cliff lift building with the cliffs and clouds..Β
the chopper been there was a complete fluke.Β

thank you..
was a very surreal night.. took a day to get over the devastation and take it all in.Β
as i mentioned in the comment above, the chopper been in the shot was pure fluke. i didnt notice it till i started processing the image.Β
