Description THE ABDUCTION OF PSYCHE

by Chyme

Psyche wandered alone beneath the cool, lush, emerald canopy of the forest,
clutching to her breast a mystic rose and perfumed Lilly.
A suffusion of sweet scent pervaded her being,
her senses quickened to the joy of life.
Alas, the rose and lilly so soon began to wilt,
their silken petals had already given up their lustre.
Psyche began to weep profusely as she contemplated death, decay and her own mortality.
She sat in the grassy clearing, tears falling, she was inconsolable.
After a while, she heard the mellifluous voice of a young man,

"Hail sweet Psyche, why dost thou weep so inconsolably?"

She looked up at him with pale green tourmaline eyes which were tiny pools,
at first she was unable to discern his features, for her tears still welled.
Gradually, the tears dissipated and the voice took form and she saw a beautiful young man.
He seemed to glow with a subtle evanescence,
a clear golden light, only discernable when she wasn't trying to see it.
"How knowest thou me sir?"

"Ah, sweet Psyche, thy name and fidelity precedes thee so,
that even the flowers and trees which surround and shelter thee
whisper thy name discreetly, whenever encouraged by the mischeveous breeze!
And should thine ear atuned, be keen as mine
then thou would'est hear the daffodils sound their trumpets
at thy presence and gentle approach,
a rousing fanfare of such magnificence!"

"Then sir, your ears be keen indeed." She blushed and said, " May I ask thine own name?"

He smiled and said, "Indeed you may. My name is Verite'. "

"So Verite', what perchance, brought thee to this time and place?"

"T'was no mere chance dear Psyche, which drew me hither.
But the sound of your bitter grief and mourning
which induced my curiosity and tore the very fabric of my heart!"

"Then kind sir, I fear thy journey was in vain, for my sorrow has no consolation!"

"Thinkest thou so? I am come to show thee otherwise".

"Oh sir, do not mock me. Are you a kings fool that thou should'st comfort me by the art of jest?
Will thou play the fool and ask me to laugh in the ubiquitous face of death?"

"Fayre maid, indeed, jest, though pleasant, is devoid of substance. It's taste being sweet, bequeathes no sustanance in its digestion. No lasting fortitude for the soul. Verite' is my title and my very name testifies that I may only comfort thee
with purity and truths own truth. For indeed, outside of truth there is no comfort!"

"Then kind Verite', I would know the secrets of your consolation and how came'st thou
upon this cache of treasure, which so seemingly eludes this transient world?"

"Tender Psyche, happy am I that thou should'st consent to accompany me upon this noble quest.
I have learned to fly amidst the secret hidden places.
I have learned to ride upon the thunder and become as lightening.
I harness, like a chariot, the seven golden horses of the Aurora Borealis.
Have I not entered your dreams and taken your gentle hand?
Have I not led thee through the coral galaxies and exploding nebula which decorate eternity?
I know you were asleep, but awaken and come once more.
Climb upon my astral shoulders, come my gentle Psyche, whom I have chosen from among the daughters of men,
Let us fly together in the ineffable oceans of purest love.
Because you are beloved of God and He sees everything hidden in your heart,
I can show you the secret gardens of paradise.
Look even now my sweet, look up into the deep blue skies.
I am circling the iron mountains,
I am severing the clouds with my jewelled razor wings.
I am cutting through diplomacy and decorum.
I am slicing through mundane life and politics.
I am a falcon of love, my keen eye searching out both grace and beauty.
I see you, and without warning, I swoop upon you, bearing gifts of love and tender affections.
I lift you into the ultra-marine paradise of unrestricted passions !"

Psyche looked down to the earth below, where suddenly, everything seemed so diminutive, so insignificant.
She clung trustingly to Verite' her arms about his strong neck.
He felt her fearful, pounding heart impressed upon his own.
Already she found herself floating amidst the pillars of cumulus clouds.

"What if I should fall my strong abductor?"

Verite' laughed aloud, and climbing ever higher, he set her down upon the rainbows arch.
"Is this not what you have always dreamed of my silken- haired princess?.

"Where are we going Verite'?" She asked with bated breath.

"We are going to explore Gods eternal grace and ever unfolding love!"

" But Verite', where is it you are you taking me?"

"Trust me beloved, for I am taking you on a journey that will never end.
My wings are strong enough to carry us both on our quest for paradise!
I will take you through the myriad constellations, where fiery stars conceive

and show you a golden City, from whence flows all quintessential light.
I will show you how golden dimensions are born,

dripping from the Genius Ocean of abundant perpetuity.
Together, all hearts are melted into one,

and we shall see them all dance the complex dance of life!
There is, a certain star I want to show you, which is brilliant and blazing,
and yet, as we draw near to touch it, we find it is soft and warm and will not harm our flesh.
It is called, ' the bright and morning star!"

Her eyes became accustomed to the intensity and she saw clearly, tall ached gates made from crystal.
Verite' felt Psyche's breath upon his cheek, erratic with excitement.
The quicker she breathed, the more she glowed with intensity.
within and from her eyes beamed rainbows and miniature stars.
They gazed at each other and marvelled how these shooting stars
flowed out from each others eyes, to fuse with the rainbow cords which bound their hearts.

Suddenly she understood how they'd become as one.
Their awakened spirits mingled, merged and flowed into each other.
Love ebullient, swirling like a warm volcanic stream.
They laughed aloud and giggled the harder they squeezed each other the faster love's river flowed.
This living river of celestial light coursed within and around them,
abducting them, carrying them up and away upon a spiral stairway to transcendence.

The stairway where only the purest spirits ascend to walk and talk with God.
All around, the shining trees began to sing and the tall sunflowers (which indeed were tiny suns) danced a mystical ballet,

stirred by the beating wings of giant emerald butterflies or perhaps they were tiny angels they could not tell.
They shared laughter in their soul, the pure laughter of joy.

Suddenly, (after a million years, because time has no meaning here in the realm of pure love)

Psyche asked, "Verite', where are we? "

He smiled enigmatically saying, "Does it matter? Ha ha, do you have to be back to complete some housework chores? "

She laughs aloud as if all housework was suddenly an absurdity!

"Verite', you have been here before haven't you?"

" Psyche, I have been here a million years. So too have you, but never knew it!"

Incredulous she replied, "How so? I have not recollection"?

"Darling, we were inside each others hearts, only you were asleep and I have come to awaken you!"

" Do you mean like the story of the sleeping beauty?"

" Yes, but only more so. You were captured and imprisoned in flesh, which kept you bound on mortal Earth. "

Intrigued she asked him, "Who was it that imprisoned me?"

" It was an evil dark star, an enemy of love and all light!
It is this evil star who has led men to the great black hole in the centre of the universe.
The black hole named Death! I have journeyed there and stood upon its rim
I have peered down into its darkness and chaos. It draws very near, swallowing all within its gravitational pull.
I have seen the souls of lost men , pouring into its gluttonous mouth!"

" And you ? Were you also a captive of the Dark and fallen star? "

" Yes, of course. Without exception, all the children of Adam are deceived and imprisoned!"

"Then how so , have you escaped?"

" I met a Man with the scars of wounds upon His hands and feet.
He ventured alone, into that black hole from which none before ever returned!
He it is, alone, returned from that eternal dark morbidity.
Armed only with Truth and Love, He extinguished the darkness.
He had a KEY within His lips. A key which opened up the mind,
like music touching deafened ears or the gift of colours to the blind.
His Words so soft and gentle about the truth of life,
they planted the seeds of wisdom, then like a surgeons knife,
they cut away my ignorance of doubt and fear.
And gave to me a vision and the fiery wings of freedom.
As I flew into the heavens, He cried out to me,
'Take the key and go, release your brothers and sisters and any that will hear My Spirit!'

"With great delight my sweet Lord, I cried!" And off I flew, free and unrestricted, high into realms of love!"
You have questions my Psyche'. Questions to which I have answers, because He gave me the Key !
And the key opened up all the wonders of Heaven and Earth.
And so my sweet rose , my gentle princess,
Now I have found you, take this key, for it can be given to those who have the eyes to see it.
And so shall we all, fly together and discover all the realms
of love on Earth and eternal hope in the cordial everlasting Heavens."
