This is a tough one...... Natsu is smarter, knows more martial arts than puffy, and adapts a lot more quicker but luffy is quicker in terms of speed has more range attack options than natsu (in fact almost all of Luffies movces work for both long-range and medium-range combat) and has incredible dodging skills due to the observation haki..... If natsu doesn't go lighting-fire dragon or dragon force move its a draw....

i don't think that natsu is the more adaptive out of the two. luffy was able to imitate cp9 soru after a single demonstration, and finished rayleighs haki training program in a year and a half which as suppose to take a lot longer.

You are right about that. Natsu's magic may be fire base, but it was said that fire "dragon slaying" magic, is five times hotter than that of normal flames. In addition Natsu's got lightning dragon slaying magic that makes his own magic more deadly. So I agree.

The man who melts things is don achino, the father of a bounty hunter family with the devil fruit that allows him to heat up and melt almost anything he comes in contact with. Also his quick feather light temper fuels the powers even more. He can reach temperatures so high that hitting him on a bad day could lead to melted loss of limbs. He even went to the extent of riding waves of lava that he generated because of the heat he gave off on the glacier terrain they were on that was on top of volcanic chambers in the ocean. (This last bit is coming on the top of my head as i have not seen this part in a while, but the wave riding is true). Basically what i am trying to imply is that this man can fight with temperatures that match if not exceed the heat natsu could build up and is also rather hard to hit because of the heat he could give off. Natsu himself has never shown that he could pull off a "heat shield" so luffy could hit him and deal with what ever heat natsu could throw at him.
And i will say that this is considered filler but i personally don't care because to me its just a untold chapter of the one piece story. I don't care if anything is considered cannon or not. To me anything written in a story is true until the creators themselves tell me what is true in their stories.

Well by that logic, Natsu defeated a monster within the frist movie that can casually level mountains and created a countrywide storm of energy, see what non canon fiuller or movies aren't used in a discussion of anime/managa seires ? Also Natsu casually melts steel with just his body heat touching metal and that wasn't even him powered up or in Dragon Force and Natsu can't be hurt by any flame below 3,000 degrees celius. Also just because Luffy fought and defeated a non canon fire user, doesn't mean he can cannoically beat Natsu

Faster is in no way debatable, Luffy is faster. plus Luffy is just a stronger fight then Natsu. using Haki Luffy would be the winner after this first punch shown in the picture.

i love fairy tail, which is why i clicked on the picture in the first place.....but the average power in Fairy Tail is nowhere near the average power in One Piece. Luffy can easily dodge bullets, which means he can easily dodge Natsu, and since he can use prediction Haki Natsu wouldn't be able to land a hit on him. Natsu isnt even very strong compared to other mages. just in general One Piece characters are stronger then almost all characters in manga, there are only a couple series i can think of that have higher skill levels then One Piece; Naruto and maybe Medaka box.
