WOW! You have a great eye for macros. The focus and clarity is fantastic in this picture. It's so well done. The contrast between the insect and the flowers works really well too. Great depth of field. I love that the tops of the pistons are in focus, along with the insect.

One general piece of advice I like to offer macro photographers is the rule of thirds. From looking at the rest of your gallery it looks like you follow these guidelines (intentionally or unintentionally) a lot of the time. I think following it here can also greatly add to the eye appeal of this photograph. Throwing your subject off-center can really capture someone's interest and can set your photographs apart from others in the photography gallery.

This can be done in-camera of course. Many cameras have a "grid" function in the view finders. Since you've already taken this shot, it becomes a simple matter of cropping. I think based on the scattering of the flower pistons, I would recommend cropping the right side of the frame to crop out those flowers that are further in the background. Then your subject will be off to the right side of the frame more.

Anyway, that's just a minor edit. The rest of your technique is very, VERY well done. Keep it up!!
