Description **Update - Flats and messing around with different clipping groups for the lineart 8D**

Kresimir may end up being the Uke in this relationship but in general he is more forward than Leif is....

After months of flirting and winning a particularly grueling set of Promo games that gets them into Diamond in League of Legends Ranked, Kres finally kind of goes "Fuck it". They'd been dancing around the mutual attraction for a while and so the Demon finally decided to act on it. Leif is kinda surprised (at first) but responds enthusiastically. It's the heat of the moment, both practically shaking from all the neurotransmitters (Endorphins, Adrenalin, etc) released during the games themselves, so it gets pretty heated, but I wanted to doodle it while it was still just Sweet... >> For now.

Thanks for Leif BTW. Kres has been lonely a very long time. >> Both his brothers have Baes. He's been forever alone for like.... 350 years XD

owo I would love to see if you did draw them though! I am sure you could redraw him pretty easy XP But on the off chance you didn't like the results you wouldn't have to show anyone anyway. If you had time, it would be Fab <3

It happens yeah. Not often but it does. I have a feeling Leif's parents wouldn't react well to that. Even if he would potentially make way more money probably than with a career in his field >>

Sounds good. And if you don't, that's cool too. I know being a creative is exhausting!

ViataMinunata In reply to CianRhapsody [2018-03-05 17:36:59 +0000 UTC]

No lol they probably put him through college and grad school both, and Leif had so, so much potential, he was so, so good at it probably X'D Could've had a really, really high paying job for doing computer science. But alas, no.

I wonder if Leif feels like he wasted 6-8 years of his life doing that?? All along, it wasn't what he ended up doing with his life..

Okay! ^^

CianRhapsody In reply to ViataMinunata [2018-03-05 18:07:38 +0000 UTC]

He works at it for a while, he's good at it, but it bores him and he has to deal with people too much for his taste at work.... Then all of a Sudden their team gets famous. I'm thinking like.... They do a charity stream for some reason or another and not only do really well at raising money, but Leif and Kresimir are caught/ screen capped kissing in stream and they go Viral and develop a following of fangirls/boys. The guys shrug it off and keep on their normal lives until they start getting the Sponsorship offers and such. All of a sudden there's money. (Kres has plenty of his own but Leif is too proud to mooch)

He potentially would feel that way. End up having his mid-life crisis in his 20s because of it. It has perks. He can repair his own computer, make games and such in his spare time if he wants. But that is a lot of time put into a career only for your life to turn on its head. (Though when he gets older, he could go back to that kind of work if he wanted and possibly for a better company given he would be famous to a degree. )

That sounds cool-- I just have trouble relating or imagining that because it almost seems impossible, like it's a 1 in a million or 1 in ten thousand thing, ya know? It's difficult to relate to the characters in that way. But it sounds cute! ^^ I'm also don't really know League of Legends that well lol But still, awesome ideas!!

Yeah that's a pretty early mid life crisis lol, but I like it! That's how I would feel-- like why did I waste my time and money and put in so much blood, sweat, and tears into something I'm not really using except occasionally??

Yeah, I can see him doing that. Surely he won't be famous forever? Or will he? I am curious lol I mean, there is a supernatural element in his life in the form of Kresimir~~

CianRhapsody In reply to ViataMinunata [2018-03-06 04:51:16 +0000 UTC]

There are a fair number of teams for every region though ^^ Even if they took a few years to make it to the World Championship, if ever, theoretically both had basically been playing since the game started in their off time, it's plausible. It's difficult to relate to because it's fantasy. An alternate universe where demons, angels, and other mythical creatures live among the humans. So, bending reality a little more to give two good guys and a few of their friends a really nice life? Why not?
I love League but I'm bad at it. It's really fun even though the community used to be really toxic.

I think it would be an interesting thing to explore. I am not as drastic as him but I did three years as a psychology major before dropping out due to, ironically, my own depression. I use what I learned to help my friends and it's at least satisfying. But yeah. To all of a sudden realise a third of your life was spent on school just to have this drop in his lap? So much internal conflict. Plus the tension with his family.... But he could definitely still use it. Just more as a hobby-ish, or a part time gig to get out of the house if he found the right place to work.

I'm not sure. ESPORTS has only just started getting big. Worst Case, Kresimir's brother Asher could get him a reaaaally well paying government job. (Asher works for the air force at Area 51. Kres has an interesting family). And well. He can potentially live longer. If he shared a blood bond with a demon it would slow his aging process by a lot

ViataMinunata In reply to CianRhapsody [2018-03-06 16:02:47 +0000 UTC]

Okay, cool! What do you mean, toxic?? What was bad about it??

Yeah...that could make for a great internal conflict that Leif faces throughout the story. Kresimir might also have some kind of internal conflict, though I admit I don't know enough about him to know what that might be. It's always a great idea to make the main characters dynamic in that they come to a realization by the end of the story-- usually in the form of some internal conflict lol. I like it. It's not something I've come to myself-- though I am doubting my choices at the moment. But I can imagine it happening and can relate somewhat X'D

dang. Ooohhh please tell me that happens lol

Like people would call each other the N word, or fags, or retards for the slightest mistakes. Really aggressive even with their own team mates, basically until Riot had to crack down hard core, because it was keeping a lot of people from even trying competitive.

It's like "Why did I even BOTHER" *shakes fist at the sky* Not wanting to disappoint his parents, but he's doing better than he would
Kresimir's conflict both internal and external would probably involve coming clean about his past. He was in essentially a POW type camp, because of a war between different clans of his species, and he received every kind of abuse imaginable there. ( Kres's powers are unique and in the wrong hands, extremely dangerous, but he refused to use them as directed. He's a lover not a fighter. After that it gets really dark.) When he was freed from that life that he came to the US, and while he's had time to heal, there are definitely traits of his that will make Leif ask questions. He's got a lot of scars, flinches at rapid movements, there's some bedroom stuff that could potentially trigger PTSD, etc. And all of this stuff he hides from everyone including his brothers because he doesn't wanna worry them and feel like a burden. So Kres would have to open up to continue his healing process and would be terrified to do so thinking that his being damaged could change how Leif feels about him.

If they can manage to get through that well. Blood bonding can be happen a few different ways but one is a form of demon marriage in my world. The form they use when their mate of choice is of a Less Durable species. That way, less likely to lose them too soon. Sharing a piece of themselves and their power so they and their mate can live a long happy life

Oh yeah, believe me, I know that about any video game that's an MMO or an MMORPG or has the functionality to be a multiplayer game on any console or platform. It's even worse if they think you're a noob. I've had people send rather hateful messages to me after I was part of some random team claiming I'm a noob and then spouted all kinds of cuss words at me for losing the match-----

And that's why I left Multiplayer games to die. (But they're not dying ugh, they're only getting bigger :c )

Yeah lol

Damn....he's got a dark backstory then-- I'm intrigued. I'm kind of curious about what a demon marriage is like-- can you explain it?? And what are the other ways to blood bond?

CianRhapsody In reply to ViataMinunata [2018-03-06 17:43:19 +0000 UTC]

I get it. I didn't has as much of that experience but I definitely had some. I enjoyed the games enough that instead of quitting I made wildly liberal use of blocklists and muting chat. Sorry people screwed it up for you though....

(Yep. I think Team esports is gonna replace regular sports when our generation is fully settled in power TBH.)

Yeah, the poor demon bab has had it hard. Which is why he left his demon clan life in Scandinavia behind and settled among human immigrants in the US instead. He could still use his native tongue while he learned English but didn't have to deal with a potential repeat.

As for marriage, I am still working my way through all of the rules and different rituals.... The main difference is that, unless one or the other runs off demon marriage is literally til death. Most marriages are basically political moves forced by their families which sucks, but that's how it is. An actual union like we do is for most kinds of demons unnecessary symbolism if they're in love.... Most couples that are together for emotional reasons go with the less formal mates which allows for going their separate ways if things don't work out, though All forms of demon pair bonding involve some kind of marking. Kress still has bitemarks on his neck from the jerk who kept him as a glorified pet in the camp.

ANYWAY. You may ask then, why a blood bond marriage for these two~ Kresimir is what's called a Daemonus Sanguinarius, which are an all male species of demon I have been working on since I was a teen. The higher class ones, like Kres, are capable of bearing children. (All can sire kids but only high class can carry). If they are having sex with the same person repetitively over a long period of time, it stimulates their magickal energy to create a pseudo-womb. Reason A for a permanent gig. Reason B being of course the fact that it will let Leif live much longer if he's willing to deal with enjoying his meat a little rarer XD It will also increase his empathy and attunement to Kres (and vice versa). The main other Blood bonds are the well known Blood Brothers, and lesser known kinds of loyalty bonds used covertly by clan leaders on important members of a clan, such as generals or mystics. It lets the one who created the bond know when the person is lying to them and makes the bonded's skin itch and blood burn if they try to betray the creator.

Again, still rough on some of the ideas, but that's the jist and some explanations

Yeah I mean I just felt like I was a terrible player even though I really was new and couldn't help it and they treated me so badly in messages and chat that I stopped. I was maybe 13, and delicately shy X''D

(I've never heard the term "esports," but I can see that happening, but I think it's going to take longer than one generation. Maybe two.)

Yeah, uprooted himself for somewhere better..supposedly. I'm glad he finds a little happiness in Leif.

So some of it is arranged marriages, then. Also, that's awful, being kept as a glorified pet. I just want to hug him now. Poor thing. I kind of like the idea of going less formal but it does bring about the idea that without going formal, it's almost as if you're expecting it to go south at some point, which is sad.

Oooh, wow, that's cool! And I love the name for them. I love how you have this all thought out ^^ (I do the same thing lol-- details for EVERYTHING.) That second kind sounds super useful, cool, and also very dangerous. I feel like you could be almost blackmailed with one--forced into doing a blood bond and have it used against you, a slave to telling the truth should you bond an enemy. I can see one group getting a hold of someone from another enemy group and forcing a blood bond so anything they ask the person will be answered truthfully or else face the consequences of the blood bond.

From you saying Kres was kept as a pet, I assume forced blood bonds are possible.

It sounds really interesting and well thought out. I like thinking about the good and the bad ways each thing can be used, or the good and bad things that can happen as a result of each aspect of culture.

13? ....Poor bab. I wasn't allowed to play them until I was 15, and then it was only World of Warcraft. (Not complaining, I love the game, but my mom was really strict about movies, games, TV, etc)

(I know the term because my brother is huge into all of it. I actually do enjoy watching them though, way more than traditional sports. Less horrifically time commitment-y and much more active)

Better enough. He has a peaceful life, his little cafe, and a few weird pets.

A lot of higher class marriages are arranged for keeping peace and bringing together powerful bloodlines. Demons are pretty heavily into Eugenics/selective breeding, though the DS are the worst about it in my little world. It was a pretty bad time for him... Kres is very open to hugs though.... And well. When you can live to be over 1000 if no one shivs your ass, it's hard not to think about the potential for things to go south. Demons are demons, they can be affectionate and loving but their core is, by nature, largely dark. People can get twisted by living so long, especially having to watch how humans destroy everything they touch.

Thank you so much! <3 I'm glad you like the name! It used to just be blood demon, but I realized trying for the proper latin Taxonomy would be far more interesting. You can definitely be blackmailed and manipulated. They are definitely able to be forced. Forcing the loyalty one/doing it with the other party unaware is REALLY common. But for Kres it was luckily only a mate mark, not a full blood bond. Baer (the dude who had him) wanted to be able to screw around with other prisoners. (He basically had all these other demons with really useful powers and wanted to have kids with their powers that he could raise to be obedient and loyal since the originals wouldn't follow his orders).

And. That's only blood bonds. There are also Soul Bonds, which are more commonly used by the fallen angels, but demons are capable as well. ^^

It has been a passion of mine to work on, on par with my angel stuff. I have always been so scared that people would steal all these ideas I have been putting my soul into that I didn't really share it. But since you've trusted me and shared your stories, it's only fair I reciprocate~

So was mine, but I managed to convince her when I acquired friends at 13-- because they were all into video gaming too-- so I naturally wanted to do it too. It was a rather large spat, but it worked out fine in the end.

(Yeah)

Sounds like a good life to me!

Oooh, that makes it even more interesting, when you throw Eugenics into the mix. You'd think that demons were already perfect, being kinda supernatural. I understand that-- that's why I'm not really looking forward to any form of immortality you get in various religions after death...it sounds awful. That's just my opinion, though.

Oh my. That's certainly dark! But it makes complete sense! ^^ I like it!

I like the idea of fallen angels better, they just sound cooler, and I love drawing winnnngssssss. Soul bonds, to be honest, sound scarier. I assume they're used in the same ways as blood bonds? Why don't demons use them as much? Why do angels prefer them? Are they better in some way or are they worse?

Aw thank youuu c: I find it hard to trust sometimes too-- I'm not afraid of people stealing-- I'm more afraid of people pointing and laughing, of people ridiculing me. I'm afraid of harsh criticism....

(I always feel like you write a book in a comment and I don't respond with a book and it makes me feel bad for some reason X'''D I feel like I'm putting in less effort or something...)

Given the likely reputation of VG at the time I get both sides of it but want games to win. XD As long as all worked out though. That's what matters

They have their opinions on what is weak and what is strong, and they are very Spartan about it. If a baby is sickly they leave it to die or if feeling merciful leave it with humans. I'm not such a fan of most of the versions of the afterlife either. .... But then I firmly believe in reincarnation myself.

You'll find most of my stories tend to have really dark elements. I can't just do happy fluffy stuff. Write what you know, and what I know is mostly dark...

Fallen can be pretty cool and I love wings too.  Souls bonds are scary to demons in that, once initiated, you and your partner gain each other's memories, and can always add more. Which the angels are mostly fine with. It also makes you stronger together and able to draw power from one another, but when separated you get weak and sickly in your most vulnerable area which tends to be mental health. Most do not want those double edged swords.

I haven't seen anything in need of harsh critiques uwu I have had too many "friends" and classmates swipe my stuff in the past >>

(You write books about your OCS,  I do it about mine. Any lack of response is just turnabout for the comments of yours that I read but am not sure how to reply to)

Yeah-- My mother wasn't super religious, but the did think video games were evil-- hence why she didn't want me playing them. I'm not sure what exactly her logic was... I turned out okay regardless. I don't really game anymore anyway...I mean, I don't have time to. I'd love to, but I have no time.

That's awful, but interesting. I like how they dump their "sick and weak" children on humans lol like they're a lesser species-- are they?

Reincarnation is one of the better ones to me-- at least you don't really remember your immortality is a thing. You don't remember your past lives, the way I understand it. So each life is it's own thing. I'm not sure I like the idea of escaping that cycle tho, cuz then you're either gone or part of a greater whole and there we strike the problem again-- immortal. Unless you're not conscious of being immortal, I can't see how being immortal is a good thing, you know? Imagine being conscious and living forever. That doesn't sound nice to me. Eventually, you'll get bored of it all, I think. Then it's a form of slow, slow torture you can't escape from, because you're already dead in a way I suppose if you throw a god or gods into the picture then it's Deus Ex Machina and you can make immortality nice-- you can say immortality will never be boring because GOD! Idk tho-- I have a feeling we should stop talking about personal religious beliefs in case it gets ugly X'D It has a way of doing that.

Personally, I'm not one to talk though-- I believe in a god and an immortal afterlife myself X'''D But I've always been kinda curious...I love the ideas of buddhism, for example. They all just make sense. Often, in my own stories, you'll see places where I took 3 religions (or more, or less) and smashed them together. The religion in my current story is probably kind of Buddhism/Hinduism and Christianity/Islam/Judaism/etc smashed into one-- Like Sikhism, I took elements from both and made a single compact religion. It's got the monotheism and dualities you see in Christianity/etc such as the belief in one goddess and one evil one-- a duality. It have the afterlife like the latter, but a belief that you kinda become one with everything like Hinduism/Buddhism (becoming one with Brahman who is inside everything, you know?) Like the Catholic form of Christianity (and probably other religions too,) it has a purgatory type place. Aaah I could go on forever. Some things are all my own and due to stories that I made up for their religion, but a lot of the very basic things are just things I stole from existing religions and cultures.

Being in a Religion class in college right now is really fuel for this fire lol

I'm not one to talk, but the philosophy of religion and the afterlife has always been very intriguing to me. I love messing with religions in my own stories-- religions, belief systems, culture, all of that. It's so fun to see how it impacts how a society behaves and interacts with members of its own group or of other groups. I could write a novel just on culture for my current story lol

Oooh woah, memories? Holy crap. To do one of those willingly is a huge trust thing! Though that would suck to have to never be apart for extended periods of time. How far apart is "separated?"

Oh...yeah I never had friends really. The two friends I do have are really close friends I've known for 9 years. I doubt they'd ever do something like that to me...if they did, I'd be unfathomably hurt...I can see where you're coming from.

(I'm about to write a book about the culture of my world if we keep talkin lol Also, that's the same for me-- sometimes I don't know how to respond exactly.)

Oh jeez owo; Most of the time it's the "video games make people violent" theory which is shaky. There's a far higher correlation between SSRI's and violence. But well. Sorry about the lack of time. I only get to once or twice a week but it's great for venting.

Of course humans are lesser to the demons. They live so much shorter lives... Comparatively uneducated because of their time limit. Very few of them can harness magic or other abilities.

You actually can learn to remember past lives though owo It's really weird but I have remembered pieces of mine. As for being immortal forever, that Prospect is kind of terrifying....

As for my beliefs, I'm a Syncretist. My roots are mostly in Gnosticism and Kemetic (Ancient Egyptian) paganism. Creating my own path, taking in what would help me be a better person and leaving the rest behind. We both probably could write novels about the cultures in our stories. XP

Exael did the soul bond (accidentally) between he and Heru. Far seems to be 60+ miles for over a week-ish. From what I have noticed in the Tulpa world anyway. I explore a 25 year period apart with E+H in an alternate universe side story thing.

Betrayal drives anyone crazy uwu;;

(Feel free to write me books. I'll always read them and if you wanna bounce ideas off of me. And Perfect. So you get it too. Sometimes it's hard to know what to say)

Yeah my mother took it one step farther X'D I have college and work and no time lol-- hardly any time to do art, let alone game! Though I do keep buying the newest games ; ; I have so many I haven't even started or have started and never finished  ; ;

Okay, I thought so-- it makes sense that way. That's kind of interesting, humans, in the religious sense, tend to think demons are lesser creatures to humans. It's a little ironic, and I like that.

That's awesome! I have a friend who's pagan, she mostly worships the Celtic pantheon. I forget exactly what she calls herself. That we could, that we could!

You're like me, then. Whenever I create some rule, I like to play with it, stretch it to it's boundaries and see what happens X'D

Certainly does.

(Yep, I might lol ALSO sorry for how late this is, ; ; )

.... I have a few I haven't started/finished either.... I am sorry about your lack of time. I hope you get some time/space soon uwu

It was kind of of one of the reasons I wanted to play with that attitude. Humans think they're so fucking superior for basically no reason. And well. When you find out that Deimos just means spirit, like Angelos just means messenger, and that the only real difference is their core alignment (the type of energy they use, dark vs light), all the anti-demon propaganda is just that. Some demons are evil, but there are evil angels too and I'm not talking about Lucifer XD

The celts are pretty awesome. I love Bridget/Bhride. She's so lovely a person... or God... OR superpowered alien for all we freaking know.  .... *can only imagine what would happen if we wrote something together LOL*

Exactly. Otherwise how can you effectively write about it? I love AUs for that reason <3

I got some time to try and finish up Assassins Creed Origins despite how much I'm starting to dislike the series-- though now I'm swamped again lol

It was nice while it lasted.

On as mostly unrelated note-- I have a character named Deimos myself (I love astronomy, and thus most of my characters are named after moons lol) But all that you have sounds awesome ^^

Lol I kind of want to write something with you, but after my professor told me I suck, I'm kind of afraid to. Besides, I've always been better at world building/concept art & synopses anyway.

Same goes for me ^^ Though most often I actually stretch concepts in their context, just...alternate history, you know, the "what ifs." I don't do AUs in the sense I take them out of their time period and into a different time period/world-- unless I'm working on characterization of a specific character.

(A month late. Goodness me.)

I was wondering how you had a not gay Ganymede. XD Now I know he was named after a moon, not the mythological Twink XD But yeah, Deimos means spirit and is the original of the word demon XD

Your professor is a dickbag :3  But I totally getcha. Just. kinda done with the main person I write with haha

Yeah, what ifs are most of what I do. Bending the timelines a little because of how long some of my OCs live. I take some people out of their stories for RP or for fandom ideas because it is fun though

Its great lol especially if you love history (though it does tweak history quite a bit.) And now I'm playing Stardew Valley X''"D

Yeaah so I didn't look up who the MOON was named after-- I was like "cool a moon thats probably named after some greek guy : D." I probably should have looked that up lol. If it's any consolation, his son is bisexual and beautiful XD

Yeah so Deimos was also named after a moon for my story, I didn't go too deep into who the moon was named after for him either.

He pisses me off X'D Oh...I mean I can try lol, but you gotta let me finish this dumb semester first. One more week! I mean, I love making plot ideas and stuff

Yeah, same. The "sequel" to my first story (which isn't as good or cohesive or thought out) is actually a "what if" scenario that went too far. I've also got scenarios for "what if the villain never became the villain" type stuff and how that would determine whether or not the events of the first story ever even happened-- the answer is yes. X'D

Well duh XD Isn't the whole point of AC tweaking history?

.... OH GOD XD Awkward. You deffo should have looked it up but hey, we all get lazy sometimes.... And yeah XD the son is more Ganymede than his dad. Though in the future you maaaaaay wanna do more research because when I first saw Ganymede I was just like "What a pretty gay baby" and then read stuff and was like "WHAT?"  XD not in a bad way just in a very confused way

Who wouldn't be pissed at him? And take your time. We can start by bouncing ideas around and see if we find one that works for both of us. Good luck surviving!

............ Oh wow. HAHA. That's crazy. Having a whole 'nother story because of a what if. I'm kind of impressed

Idk I think it's good in a way because if I made him gay then he'd pretty much be the same as the guy he's named after lol

And like..people share names, that's a thing. Not every Julia is the same Julia, ya know? Idk lol

I shall try to survive lol

I do that lol. I love taking things too far in the realm of "what ifs" or just coming up with "what ifs" in general. It's how I understand the nuances of the things I make, the worlds I build. Though sometimes I gloss over big stuff in favor of perfecting the details X'''D Or I have so many details I forget half of them and constantly have to fact check myself on Evernote (where I have 23 pages of ideas! :'D)
