Description
Sacramental Strelitzia is my collection of Wedding gowns I'm producing(in this case, sewing) for my Semester 5 finals.
And yes, I've started off already hence, me being busy and all.So yeah, inked it, and then scanned, coloured with Open Canvas 4.06E Plus.
This costume is inspired from my fav Japanese designer, Yohji Yamamoto ^_^
And my subject to inspire is The Bird of Paradise a.k.a. Strelitzia. XD The blue/white ones. ^_^ The strelitzia patterns aren't printed. I'm using Batik techniques to apply the strelitzia shapes and colours only certain part of the designs using Silk Satin and will be quilting some parts to make it appear 3D-ish. ^_^
Will post the finished product when i catch the picture next year after my graduation.
Very simple CG, i know... but yeah, this is good enough for the presentation so I didn't bother to do better LOL!

I printed it off the the computer then used it for an art project. What I did was draw a larger scale version on 18x18 paper then traced it on clothe and used wax and die. I only changed what my art teacher told me to. I told my teacher exactly where I got it.

I lovethe side profile. and the blue lace detail on te side/back, it looks so airy. the collar maybe a bit much, many brides like the less is more look, but i can see how it works in the design. so this will be a set of dress ideas? how man do you plan to do? I think a wedding dress with bell sleeves is always beauitful

Oh no bell sleeves. My designs mostly sleeveless but there's one with Obi sash and cuffs(without sleeves)
