Dream team of Dancing Butterflies, Gingerbread and Sundance.Although Dancing Butterflies never made an appearance in the animated series and was only a part of the toyline,
I adore her design and color scheme. I think she would make an enchanting and sweet character.
Having her in my collection was a big dream, but sadly, she wasn't available in my country :<
Maybe someday...

I own a Dancing Butterflies and I never thought I'd find her so lovely but she really is striking. Mine will need tbe mane and taim recurled and she might need some cleaning up bit overall she's in excellent condition. I don't have Sundance yet but I do have a Gingerbread and she needs a new hairdo. Whomever owned her before me thought it would be cool to give her a haircut. T.T
Still lovely work on this. Each hs an endearing expression and their movement is fluid. You've definitely depicted Dancing Butterflies as the most feminine of the bunch with that long hair ribbon. I also like that the butterflies around her seem to be dancing. Maybe that's how she got her name. Even as a filly butterflies were drawn to her and fluttered in the gentle breezeof her wings.
You know . . . I really think she could be Fluttershy's mother. Just saying.... ^^

Ah, haircuts...as a child I wasn't afraid to "beutify" my dolls but I never touched the ponies in such way, they were way to precious to risk a disaster

I like the idea of DB being Flutter's mom. First I thought Posey would seal the deal on that, but it's a bit creepy for me how so much alike they would be. DB gives that motherly figure factor. And she is a pegasi so we have that...

I may try doing a spring themed image featuring Fluttershy and Dancing Butterflies. It'd be part of my calender project. They'd be really pretty together. Just need to figure out who Fluttershy's father might be....

Whoa!!! Everything here is freaking amazing! The anatomy is freaking perfect and the poses have this really nice, majestic flow to them. The colors are stunning and well shaded. The background, yet simple, just compliments the ponies and just adds this... I dunno... 'wholeness'.... xD Β I also like the ribbon on Dancing Butterflies.
Everything about this is so amazing.... I'd buy this as a print if dA would let you!! (and if I had moniesβ//shot) xD

With the G1 drawings I wanted to keep a very simple background, like you said, just to compliment the ponies and bring the old MLP backgrounds to mind.
Plain and simple, but on the other hand, an element that's in all my pieces with the G1 ponies to make the whole collection...well...whole

I got Dancing Butterflies when I was 3 years old. I still have her 25 years later! She is a bit dirty and her mane/tail are messy, but she is still one of my most prized possessions.Β

I don't think Dancing butterflies is to hard or expensive to obtain, I got her for a pretty decent price! Maybe you could find someone who would trade one for a commission? Either way. you captured her stunningly. She is one of my faves too. I've always wanted to draw her, the Twice as fancy ponies are my face set. ^^

(oh, your art is super cute, why haven't I watch you sooner?!) I don't think it's super expensive, than agin, I don't think that many people have her...so...I'm not sure on this issue. Secondly, USD isn't my currency so for me it would still be a cost of a rare collective piece ^^ Though I'm sure a pony in fine state is worth it.
I would love the idea of trading her for art, even printing and shipping the artwork to the other party. I think I'll use thise idea in the upcoming year, thank you for the suggestion

Ah I love thrift stores! It's like finding little presents β₯ I only found old cartoon DVDs (like Swan Princess or Land before time) in the 'gadgets & home' section, sadly, no MLP (only some 'made in China' wannabe ponies). But good luck to your twin on further quests in the thrift's
