"Callie, for the love of Celestia, calm yourself. You're scaring Rosie.""Why should I care? Let her fear me! Just like everypony else apparently!"
Considering how perfect Cadence and Shining Armor are as a couple, their children's lives are not a reflection of that. To the outside world it may seem like they are living the dream, but everypony has secrets. In some cases, some bigger than others. Whilst Callie is starting to lose control over the piece of Sombra's soul that is residing within her, Larimar is trying his best to do damage control and keep their youngest sibling from finding out.
Rosie grew up thinking that Callie just happens to have frequent mood swings, but even her young mind starts to notice there's more to it than that.
This is one of the few times that Larimar has lost his cool. Callie just had one of the worst attacks and lashed out at Rosie, one of the ponies she has sworn to protect. It was more than just sibling rivarly and banter, which made Larimar realise what was happening and after Callie didn't back down immediately, lose his cool.

so, im thinking over all this is an amazing piece or art work, i love your take on the next generation. over all you did a great job capturing the story with the picture but if i didn't have the story in the description i wouldn't have a clue what was going on. based on originality, i stated before i love the take on the next generation, my only concern is where the mane colors for the youngest came from, im trying to piece that together, you also did wonderfully on the background. your technique, i dont really find that fair to judge, as every artist has there own style, i happen to really like yours. the impact i got from the picture was dramatic, and upsetting yet soothing, over all i found this an awesome piece of art, the only thing i could say is to try to make the ponies match the background a little, it looks slightly out of place with them being lined and nothing in the background being lined.

Well in my headcannon, they didn't realise that she has a piece of Sombra until it was too late to remove safely according to the knowledge they have. And at this point, there's too high of a chance of Callie dying with the extraction.
they would've asked for help, but kept it quiet. The "return of sombra" so to say would've freaked the populace out.

Callie Fic - Lil Something for a Friend Hoofbeats echoed through the streets of the Crystal Empire, mostly deserted in the eerie twilight. Frustrated tears streaming from her eyes, a pale pink mare in armor galloped away from the central palace as fast as her hooves could carry her.
Although she could feel Sombra’s grip fading, Callie still tried to put as much distance between herself and her family as possible. Her attacks seemed to be growing more frequent, and stronger, and that scared her. This time, she had scared her younger sister Rosie nearly to death. Callie shuddered to think what might have happened if Laramir hadn’t been there.
Finally, she cleared the outskirts of the city, stepping off the shining crystal ground onto springy, cool grass. Knowing the way by heart, Callie’s tears slowed as her hooves found

Mmhm i had similar ideas for a character i thought up from a very big fan fic i've come across. n.n It's over 800 chapters and each chapter has at lest 1500 words.
If it wasn't for that fic i really wouldn't ever though of mirror travelers in the mlp universe. But when i came up with the OC it was something that sorta came to life really
head no direction and most OC's i come up with are more or less throw away or what not. So far this one is sticking around n.n If you wanna know more about Callos
just ask i based him off as being Sombra's first born son.

But as for my OC his full name is Callos Sombra, He was not born a pony since his realm run next to the fics there are many similar
Historic events that are the same through out their history, like Sombra trying to take over, nightmare moon ect ect. At the time
Callos was born before his father went mad due to his mother's death. To where his counter part was never born in Equestria, this
one of the minor differences. In his world His people are the likeness to what unicorns are in Equestria but he is of an elven nature,
the pagasi are harpies, earth ponies are normal humans. As for the princesses they look human have wings and their ears are slightly
pointed, but instead of being princesses people call them goddesses. When Callos was born he was taught magic at the earliest age
possible which he learned not only dark magic from his father who he really admired but magic from Celestia and Luna. As he got older
he seen the sides of the two goddesses were more like normal foke then almighty beings which just meant, they had needs and wants
like anyone else, and he ended up falling in love with both of them. As he got older it only became stronger. When his mother died trying
to birth his sister who sadly died with her, his father lost his mind and started his slow spiral down to madness, Callos tried to help but
nothing he did seemed to help, he continued to learn from his father and found a darker side of magic which turned his father in to a vampire
of sorts as well as himself.. not that he knew it right away.. being this was a time of war at this point with the griffin beasts feeding off their
fear give one power. Seeing his father continue to get worse, he went to Celestia and Luna for help since his uncle star swirl refused to help
since it seemed nigh impossible to recover his brothers mind. Try tried and this only resulted in Sombra hating his own son and disowning him
calling him nothing more then a traitor for siding with the sisters. This was when he started to hate his father and eventually dropped Sombra
from his name. Eventually Celestia having no choice, banished his father to the north. He kept by the sisters side for many years, he had
confessed how he felt about the two, but was shot down being as flattering as it was, they felt it was a simple childhood crush that turned
in to an infatuation has he got older. Needless to say as sugar coated as the words were he was bitter about it, being his feelings were true
and not some sort of school boy crush that most of the male students had.. But as bitter as he was he chose to say with them up to the
point Luna had turned in to nightmare moon. He tried to help Luna but sadly he felt he failed her despite telling her the truth that her nights
were indeed loved.. After Celestia had banished her to the moon and was in a weakened condition his father took advantage of the situation
and tried to attack the castle but was thwarted by his own son, they nearly killed one another but in an act of desperation and to get an upper
hand Sombra some how opened a portal and threw Callos in to it. Before it closed Callos had acted quickly and pulled Sombra in with him to keep
him from going after Celestia and saving what was left of the kingdom.. When he woke he found him self some place different, his father was no
where to be seen and what struck him as being odd was there were talking ponies. In his weaken state his body had turned in to a pony like
form as well though with enough power he could turn in to his elven form but it would be draining after while.. and considering how horrid his
father was in this world he kept a cloak on so nopony would be frightened of him since he looked so much like his father. ( this is where he would
enter the fics realm, he would be considered a mirror traveler and at this point there are many others who are causing Equestria problems as well
as cultist who are trying to bring back the Sombra of this world.) After trying to gather some sort of news he feels that the problems here are due
to his father but also hears about some other worldly travelers who are casing problems, and since he has no way home at this point he starts
after the problem people and in this case ponies and hunts them down as he comes across them.

Love the art, the back stoty really helps set the scene and gives the piece more "heart".
Also, as a testament to tour skill i didn't need the back story to understand the bare bones of the story.
This is just a nit pick but the curtains in the background stop at the window and based on how they are drawn they should go all the way to the floor, but like i said just a nit pick.
