Yeah, I got the manga off amazon. It's mostly to practice my Japanese reading, but also because I prefer the manga's story much more over the anime, despite the dreadful art in the manga.

I wish there were scans/scanlations of DM! Maybe then I'd understand it a bit more

Dreadful art XDDDDD and pretty dreadful story as well but it somehow gets addicting.

Do you live in Japan? If so, you seem to speak English really well.

I think the fact the series just never seems to want to make any sense is what draws me to it.

No I live in US ^^ Been living here pretty much most of my life.
Lol maybe that's it. And it has only been getting worse with that in Star Cross.
Yeah I could, would be slow tho :3
If I need to just purely translate with text on notepad I'm pretty fast.
But I don't know the English names for monsters. orz

I KNOOOWWWWW~~~ Somehow I find it all quite charming, I don't know why. Maybe it's because it always manages to surprise me with its lack of logic? I don't know.

I'd love to do some kind of scanlation thing~ ... But I'm also a bit worried that the Internet police will come in and drop the banhammer on one of us if we try to do that.

Neither do I D; I like the game itself and all, but I don't know enough Japanese* to understand the modern rules... OTL

(*I read hiragana and katakana, am beginning to learn kanji, understand only very basic grammar and have a pretty limited vocabulary)

I play the card game so I kno I have like 4, 5 decks... all pretty much based off of entry decks tho Shoubu's Dads+Shoubu's, Hakuoh's, Kokujyou's, Zakira's and Mikado's...
The rules are getting more confusing, actually What? extra decks? uh-oh, I smell Yu-Gi-Oh...

D< You know, there used to be subs of DM Cross episodes and such floating around the internet, from what I'm told, but they must've disappeared a year or two ago, since I've looked and looked and looked and other than Nico Nico Douga, kraul12's account on YouTube, and the English dub, there is absolutely no trace left of DM episodes on the internet. D; Because of this, I'm willing to bet there used to be some kind of RAWs or something of the manga available online at some point, but they've all mysteriously vanished... I found a single YouTube channel with maybe three more recent chapters on it, but other than that and Amazon Japan (among a few other random sites), the manga is now literally impossible to find D;

I like Yu-Gi-Oh's story... but have never really been able to understand the game. I have a GBA game of DM, though, and I'm pretty good at it, considering how badly I usually do with most games in general~

I took 3 yrs of French and forgot 90% of it.

Well they get taken off at some point
And One Manga dying doesn't help at all either... altho I don't use it...
I see the newer DM 3D animes on youtube tho. It skips around but there's a fair amt.

Yu-gi-oh is just getting really crazy with its rules. It's somewhat fun if you can follow it.
DM has been changing as well. GBA... back in the days...

It also doesn't help how unlike Yu-gi-oh (which spends 40% of its air time explaining wtf is happening during the duel), Duel Masters just fly through the duel barely explaining anything.
I won't say which is better... But it certainly can get a bit frustrating.

Oh, and I was lookin thru ur stuff... You were the one with that Yuu pic I remember seeing it when my friend and I were randomly seeing if there is any DM art on DA.
I need to draw Yuu and Bucketman...

So did my sister. D; She took it all through middle school and high school and even went to France. Now she's going into her last year of college and barely remembers the language

A lot of the times it's impossible to get to any manga without onemanga or those such sites. :/ (Personally I prefer mangahelpers; much better selection and it even provides RAWs and direct downloads and such~)
The newest anime, Cross Shock, apparently stopped being put up on Nico Nico Douga, so now the guy who used to provide us with episodes is unable to do that anymore. I'd personally be happy to get the DVDs once they came out, but with the exception of the movies and the first season, I'm unable to find any of the Japanese anime from where I got the manga!

Don't mind me, I prefer to watch!

Funny, the only two other people in the fandom that I've talked to first heard of me through that same pic... I have to draw DM fanart more often. Funny, my one good friend really likes Bucketman for some reason. XD Can't blame her, he is pretty freaking awesome~
