Description
Based on a drawing by Sushi www.pixiv.net/member_illust.ph…It takes me around twelve hours and more than 10 000 beads to do it and still don't feel like it was quite hard. Maybe I'm okay with doing large portrait now. Ironing as messy as it always will be was a challenge and still the piece is not broken.
I could not find a way to put it on the usual brown wall, so for now it's black.
I do not know what will come for my next portrait, I was talking about Syndra but I don't know now.

I mainly use Hama Beads so if you have perler the shades are slightly not the same. Search Hama Beads color palette.
And for making it into a pattern it's quite easy and difficult unless people see it in action or in a video and I do them.
I just use the standard drawing, lower the quality to pixel it so I have not a huge perler creation to do and use gimp and paint as a base.
My eyes help to translate a shade on the screen into a bead shade. It's just an interpretation if you think about it.
No bead it program or similar beading software for it. And I'm happy how I work.
Take me more time for sure but I like it difficult xD
I should make livestream or video on how I do them but don't have such good camera's.
Other people have quite similar technique but we are quite a few.

The unshaded fluff around her neck, is that all pure white? It looks like there are whites that are a slightly darker shade but I can't tell

Light grey/ Hama beads brand. If you don't have just use white or grey. I mainly do my work with eye interpretation. So yours might not be the same

No, just using the drawing like in the description, resized and your good to go. For me at least.

Yeah and I do not know why people are so picky about transluscent I do like them like other hama colors, and this was for me the only alternative to put some shades of blue in her hairs. Glad you like it.

That's pretty amazing! I wish I could make pieces this big, but I can never get a hold of more then 2 shades of a color T_T Well not if i dont want to pay 20$ for shipping at least.

Well hama beads in my country are pretty well known and I guess buying from the Hama website is quite difficult were you live.
