Commissioned me three drawings for decor in their new baby's room!Now, despite all my joking about how much I dislike kids, I actually get along well with them and love to make things to entertain them.
I just prefer not to be stuck with them.
And this sort of work seemed right up my alley!She's been the best possible commissioner, too. I was stoked about this project the whole way through and I can't wait until she gets it!

I love this one. I just wonder if this might so how be kind of scary for a child. I don't think it would, but you know my sister thought that the part in dumbo the pink elephants parade was scary as hell. So maybe she is the weird one.

I thought about that when I was drawing, actually. I was afraid I might make it TOO scary for a very young child. My favorite childhood stuff always scared me just a little, so hopefully I hit a happy medium where the kid feels excitement but not actual terror.

Aw, thanks! I hope we will be. I'm trying to gather all sorts of off the wall faerie tale stuff...and a friend of ours is making a D&D dice-themed mobile for the little one, so this will all go perfectly together!

I wish the artwork I had in my room growing up had unicorns and stuff in it. All I remember is one poster with a picture of a cow jumping over the moon.

They live on a farm and paid good money to have someone from the internet draw unicorns for their baby. I don't know if they're hipster art students, but they're the best possible sort of people.
