this is really a great picture. i had to laugh though, because my mom's cat won't drink out of anything but cups either! it has to be on the bedside table, too.

Yes it is common for blue-eyed white cats to be deaf; however mine isn't. (he runs like crazy when he hears a loud noise) I don't really know a way to check.
When it got my kitty it was rather random. All I knew was that I wanted a white cat.
