[link] --> initial concept
[link] --> sketch to inks to computer progress shot
[link] --> old failed attempt at this concept/style/etc.
[link] --> attempt to ink with the tablet... doesn't look as good as the pen/brush inks I used for this new one, I think

All the practice is paying off. The new incarnation of my graphic novel project Water will now be looking more this and less like garbled shit ([link] ).

11x17" Bristol board, micron ink pens, India ink, colors added in PSP7

Much more dynamic than your previous attempts. I like the resulting color palette, as well as the ripple effect in the background. Really adds to the sense of being underwater.

I appreciate the time you took looking at this. I'm pretty proud of the progression since the original concept; hopefully the rest of my work will be up to the same standard now.

Breathtaking beautiful. Complex. The background makes me think of ripples and the "Vertigo" fall into insanity. love the gooseneck barnacles and shadowing of the arms.

Dang man, it's got some old 1950's horror movie poster in it that looks great. It looks beautiful.
