Description Happy Midsummer, everyone!

Actually, do other any countries celebrate Midsummer, or is it just us northerners?

I bet it was Aeon who shrunk your OC here lol.  He's the only one I know who says Deary and has shrunk himself in the past hehe.  This is really pretty, but I do recommend working on shadows more.  Luckily the variety in color helped.

I agree, shadows and shading are something I need to practice a bit more. Especially with watercolours I'm having trouble judging where and how to add them.

Well, maybe what you can do with water color is not have as much water on it.  This applies to painting in general, (watercolor, acrylic, oil), but the place you push your brush down first will be the thickest amount of paint, so depending on the color, it'll be where you place down a shadow or highlight.  Like when I use to paint, the areas I knew where the shadows would be, I'd put my brush there first and move out from the area.  That creates a shading effect.  Trick with water color is you won't have as many layers as you will with acrylic or oil paint.  I hope you have paper that can handle water better.  Hope this helps.

what a bright, happy, colorful picture of Cinder being teeny! Makes me think of a scene out of Alice and Wonderland!

I personally do celebrate midsummer but idk if my country does.

Cinder is adorable as always, and I love the detail you put in the flowers and butterflies.

If you don't mind me asking, are you pagan? (Most pagans celebrate midsummer regardless of where they live.)
Every year we get a bunch of confused tourists wondering why the cities are so empty on what to them is an “ordinary day”. That's what made me wonder if it really is just us who celebrate it.

Yup, I am Pagan. I don't mind your asking.

So, the next question on my mind is what type of paganism you follow? (Again; if it's okay to ask? Some people get really weird about beliefs  )

I guess it'd be considered eclectic paganism.

Basically, in my belief system, there may or may not be any deities- there's no way to tell. So I don't have any deity-honoring rituals. But the sacredness of nature is huge and important. I also am not part of any groups/covens/whatever you want to call them because I'm kind of a loner and like to follow my own path.

I try to celebrate the solstices, equinoxes, and the halfway points between, but it's more of just trying to be in tune with seasonal changes rather than there being any specific powers to honor. So I don't know if 'celebrate' is the right word; I more just watch what's blooming, what to plant when, how critters are acting/what critters are out, etc. rather than go on full-out ritualistic things.

(I'm also really bad at explaining, but I hope this at least makes some sense).
