My daughter and I went to Trenton Falls in NY today. This falls is only open to the public a few weekends a year. Taken 10-09-10.Another view of Trenton Falls:

I was just going though my shots and saw that one never really seemed to be seen much. And I really like it. So I thought I would post it to some more groups.

This is almost the only way to see it. As the state only opens it for like 3 weekend a year.

Too many people have died over the years there, teenagers messing around and people trying to climb it. So the state closed it. Now you can only see it by staying on the trails. But as you can see there are some places to get really good shot. I just wish I could get down to the bottom of it and get a shot.

they are very nice. I love to take pictures of waterfalls. Trenton falls took me months once I wanted to take pictures there. Because it is only open to the public for a few weekends a years and I had to work on the weekends it was open. I had to request the day off. So I could go there as Oct 9-10 were the last days it would be open for the year.

I guess over the years a lot of young people would go the and end up falling off the edges. So they Closed it.

There is a place I like here where that happens a lot, but not just to young people. It's called Zoar Valley. It has cliffs in which there are many devil's roots. Trees grow on them, so they look safe, but they are not stable. That's actually where I just was, took some photos of pretty vines.

Is there a lot of iron in the water? The hue suggests it.

I'm not sure. I could be that we had a lot of rain for like 4 days in a row before I was up there. That was the first day we didn't have any rain.

Thanks, This one is pretty. But it is also one I might not go to again. You can't get to the base of the falls and a lot of pictures are best when you get them from the bottom of them.

Check out the computer. There has to be some near where you are. Try looking them up. Most towns that have falls in there name has a waterfall in them. Like Trenton Falls. It is the name of the town it is in. The falls was named after the town. We have a town her named little falls. And there is a falls there, but its name is buttermilk falls.

OMG you should see the cute litte one we saw today up at Mt. Hope Reservoir. We were walking on the trail around the lake and then saw a bridge and heard water. And there was a cute little falls. I will find the best shot and post it.
