We don't know. Only he does. He see's the world in a different light, hears the same sounds as we do in a different note. When he was turned into the "monster" that he is (He is undead like Borsig see here: www.furaffinity.net/view/18237… ) there were....complications. Complications that left him different, "damaged" to some. He rarely speaks, has trouble with his eyesight. Is seemingly fascinated by simple things. The very way he moves is eccentric. He requires constant care, to ensure he is feeding enough, and to ensure he is not being a (unintentional) danger to himself with his arcane studies.

No. He is not dumb, nor a "vegetable". He is merely mis-understood. He is still very intelligent, and still practices his arcane arts.

Borsig feels it his fault for what happened to him, and has taken it upon himself to ensure he is safe, and taken care of.

"This was my doing. I made him what he is today. This is my burden, my oath. To many, he is a monster. To others, he is damaged beyond repair. I will do everything in my power to keep him safe, and comfortable in this world of people who choose to not see him for what he is.
