Poser 7 and Photoshop mainly and when the inclination takes me Carrara 8 for backgrounds and sometimes scene work.

Thanks for the compliment

I've been using Poser 7 for nearly 4 years now so I totally understand about that steep learning curve, you really just have to play with it and especially find some good lights and poses which you can adapt to make more lifelike.

I don't really colour my poser images with Photoshop, I do a little painting to touch them up sometimes, like with "Taste of Summer" because the elbows looked ugly. The best use of Photoshop is to colour correct, and add lighting effects. If you view your Poser renders as photos you'll start to see how they can be improved.

that makes a lot of sense, i think one problem i have is that i so badly want them to look good quickly- so i forget that the only way to make them look realistic is if i use a reference! i rush it but hopefully in 4 years i can catch up to u!

Trust me you'll still try to rush it at my stage, I do

A lot of using Poser is working out in your head what you can within Poser and the scene and what you can piece together using layers in Photoshop. You'll get there I'm sure
