Marla, aka Cure Mirage, is one of the members of Yume Yume Precure. She was the fourth member to join the team closely alongside Symphonia (Cure Symphony), and is the resident green cure. Like Symphonia, she's a college student, and she volunteers as a lifeguard and swim coach at the local pool. Symphonia is her best and closest friend (even if she doesn't admit it much), and she is protective of her. Marla is prone to acting more aloof and incredibly cautious and skeptical. Her cold exterior tends to make her come off as harsh and cold, besides difficult to get along with. However, she does mean well and does want the team to succeed in stopping the Sleeping End, although she deeply worries for their success. Her Dream Jar transformation provides her with speed, illusionary attacks, and strong magic attacks--mainly with water and frozen waves. She has a more direct approach compared to Symphonia with how she attacks, and the two of them are able to perform combos due to their existing synergy.

Marla's original look wasn't too bad. However, I think the pops of darker pink and other colors and the gradient in her hair help with breaking it up. I usually draw Marla with more reds and pinks compared to green, though I think it also helps a lot with differing her from her civilian design. With this precure team besides my goal of each cure looking different but cohesive, I also wanted to make sure that they weren't too obvious with who they were from their civilian designs. That's something I still need to go back and tweak though.
