I've had two drawings of Marla and Symphonia sitting around for a while? I believe I was meaning to post these a lot earlier and forgot, as I do. I hadn't drawn Marla or Symphonia in their mermaid forms in a while (not since the start of the year, I tend to draw them in their human forms most commonly). Something that I wanted to do is draw Marla with a view of her back as her most severe scarring is there. What inspired me to draw Marla and Symphonia as mermaids again was when I drew Mai, Aiya, and Summer earlier in the year. I love drawing mermaids and working with all the different possibilities with what I can do with their builds, hair, and tails.Although I haven't drawn as much of Marla this year, I still adore her as a character and I don't regret revamping her like I did in 2019. I think that she has gotten a lot better from the concept that she was originally was. I do need to eventually get back to work on the novel that I was doing with her and Symphonia, but that's another story for another day.
