With her disinterest in Pokemon battling you might think that Ruby has no interest in any of the Gym leaders, she actually looks up to the Alluring, Soulful Dancer of Hearthome City's Gym: Fantina. Of course, it's not the Woman's strength in battle that Ruby admires but her skills as a dancer! And since Violet's parents live in Shinnoh they were all too happy to arrange a meeting between their granddaughter and her hero. Much to Ruby's surprise not only was the Dancer exactly as Ruby thought she'd be like, but she also took an interest in the child and offered to become her instructor in the art of dancing. With permission from her parents, Ruby accepted the invitation. Now Fantina comes to the Hailstrum's ranch for a few days every other month to teach Ruby a different style of dance.-----------------
