Description "Feverish Sleep" by Quinn Milton, October 2009
Materials: wax, oil paint, topographical map on wood.
Time: this took for fucking EVER to finish!

How surprised was I when I found a memory in the topography? The wax is layered on in it's own topography, which was moderately successful I guess. I feel like I have a better handle on what I'm doing with these materials now.

This one is my favorite.

<3 Quinn

P.S. These figures aren't meant to depict anyone specifically, not in the way that portraits do, but perhaps in the way that memories do.

Now, that's real fascinating! I wish I have a good sense of depth, but I'm blind in one eye, so I've never seen in a 3-D effect.

this is interesting. I am doing research on how topography is used in art or how topography can be applied to art and i find that there's a lot to learn from your piece.

Wooooow, so nice! The way the faces really just work with the flow of the map lines is so perfect~ <3
