haha, while it's not exactly Drizzt you could definetly say that's Guenhwyvar. I had no idea you were a fan. I haven't read all the books, I just randomly started from the first book of the hunter's blades trilogy "The thousand orcs" and I've read up to "The Orc King" which i just finished.

I only read the "Dark Elf Trilogy", which I thought was really good. It'd be interesting if they made a movie... at any rate, I don't read as much as I used to... I go to school, go home, sleep, wake up, go to school, go home, sleep... etc...

Hah, I totally agree, it frustrates me that they haven't made a movie, or game for that matter on the legends of Drizzt. His stories are very good and very dramatic, it goes way deeper than the Lord of the Rings. I love getting lost in the pages of one of his books, at any rate I should try to read all previous books, since i started at "The Thousand Orcs" and was very confused with everything. I understand your schedule though, I'm sure you could fit some time in there for your own, you have to have a bit of "free time" in your life or you won't get anywhere trust me.

Yeah, Drizzt needs his own media. Although, he was featured in a few games as an unlockable character... none have featured his own storyline. It's really sad, because (as you say) it actually has quite more depth the the LOTR... though I love that story, as well (it has its own charms).
The problem is, even if they made a movie of it, the risks are worse... the more deep the story, the easier it is to screw it up when adapting it to a different media, and the greater the disappointment when (or if) that happens.

That's beside the fact that Drizzt's upbringing was almost entirely in the pitch blackness of the underground. How would they pull that off.
Half a movie shown in infrared? XD

LoL, in the time it took you to reply I've read the first 2 books of the dark elf trilogy, onto the 3rd. I'm sure filmakers could get away with exadurating some lighted areas, like the cover of Homeland, it looks dark but still filled with a gloomy purple light.

That's true. The Dark Elf Trilogy is really awesome, no?
I went back and read the Icewind Dale Trilogy recently, and was very disappointed. I still enjoyed the books very much, but Salvatore definitely has gotten better with practice. But if you're a fan of violent fantasy-adventuring, even the Icewind Dale stuff can be very fun to read.
