Last month I started reading the monumental Complete Peanuts - all the strips from 1950 to 2000. I had read Peanust strips before, but never so many all at once.

I love it.

It's so fresh (even the ones from more than 50 years ago), hilarious and poetic.
On top of that I also listened to the 1999 Broadway revival of You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, and it's so lovely.

Anyway, Linus is easily my favorite. Definitely deserves the title of most adorable comic book character EVER.

I just sketched this and I was actually planning a regular, clean drawing, but I liked the rough quality of the sketch, I think it fits the style of the strips. So I'm uploading it, scribbled quote and all (behold my terrible handwriting).

I'm working on a clean version as well.

The famous line "Sucking your thumb without a blanket is like eating a cone without icecream" is from the Broadway song My Blanket and Me. You can listen to the brilliant B.D.
