youkai is 'monster' in japanese. but i feel that there are still subtle differences in 2 words (different cultures...) cos i feel that youkai has a more spiritual feel.. more mysterious...actually, all that rambling above has nothing to do with this pic... i didn't want to draw anything supernatural or anything (hence the normal dress code) but as i start to colour it my thinking just went haywire and i was soon staring at a white-haired 'thing' on my monitor.. haha here's the result of not drawing for a long time.
it's not very nice nor detailed. it's just practice. pls critique.
oC. 2 days (i know, it's embarrasing..... but what can i do? just find scraps of time here and there....)

I like it, it's very cool. Although, doesn't youkai mean 'demon' not 'Monster'? But you're right, there is a more spiritual meaning to it than just demon or monster, and I think you captured it nicely!

I like the tones on the cloths alot, u created a nice night mood by the shading, and the little firefly lights are a nice touch. Very freeing, and clam image, nice work.

WOW Not very nice?? are you sure we are looking at the same picture? This is just beautiful..it has such mystery within it!! I love the face, like a person hiding something...ahhh the clothes are just amazing, perfect folds and shadows!! ANd the background, just wow!! The clouds are awsome, and the lil lights are just so cool!!!

Woah~ It's really beutiful!!! I really like the creepy yet, spiritually feel in it!! Like the sihouette of the grass~ I love the brush strokes in it~ Especially the clothing~ The designs on it is cool too! Love the clouds hiding the moon~ Overall GREAT!!
